Great array of items for a camping or bug out bag

I am very impressed with the selection of things this pack has. You get a multi tool hatchet/hammer, plenty of para chord, fishing lines, carabiners, emergency blankets and a lot more.As I am disabled, I don’t camp anymore so I personally got this to go into a survival bag in case of an emergency or in the event my wife and I need to evacuate the area. The only thing that lets this kit down a little is the cheap feeling plastic that the knife has for a handle. I would have like it to be made of metal for durability for sure. Other than that nitpick, I think it’s a nice to have item for any outdoors person.

  2. Heath Detweiler

    5.0 out of 5 stars

Bang for your buck is good

Overall, this is a good pack. This one has the best container that I’ve had yet. I hate the ones that have flat flaps to open them on the outside—harder than heck to open those, so I appreciate this one. My favorite is the multi tool. The foldable knife broker within days so that got trashed. But you’ll get your money out of this one.

  3. Be Happy

    4.0 out of 5 stars

    Casual Camping or Novelty

Obviously you don’t want to go get yourself lost in the wilderness with a $60 survival kit. I would think the majority of buyers know this and would purchase this more as a novelty. This is great for a parent teaching their children some skills in the outdoors, like fire starting or how to use a compass. This is like a scouting camping type kit. The multi-tool is pretty cool and you could chop up some kindling size wood pieces for your starter fire. It’s feasible that a fish could be caught with the equipment included in this kit, along with a branch for a pole and possible a grub from the ground for bait. Not sure this artificial lure would catch anything. Even so, it would be fun bonding time for a parent and child to catch a fish and start a fire to cook it on, even if they have an actual RV nearby.I certainly wasn’t expecting this to be a professional survival kit when I ordered it, and you shouldn’t expect that either. Even so, there are some good items here that could come in handy in a real life emergency as well.

Excellent little kit. Comes with a lot! Perfect size for a glovebox.

This kit comes in a hard case. The latches are a bit difficult to be open. They’re very secure.Included is a ton of stuff, including a decent little knife, a ferro rod, a brass compass, a length of paracord, a keychain gadget with screwdriver heads and Allen key heads on it in a circle, a paracord bracelet with a compass, ferro rod, and striker on the bracelet itself. The bracelet is probably my second favorite item. The shining star in this kit is the ax/hammer multitool. In the handle are all the blades/tools of a swiss army knife. There’s an ax on one side of the head, with a cover, and a hammer on the other. Open the latch at the bottom of the handle and it becomes a pair of pliers. Emergency nothing, I’m using this for everyday. My family are always stealing my screwdrivers and pliers, but they won’t easily grab these to use and set them somewhere and then forget about them. Super handy addition and a perfect, compact, travel size. The only thing that this kit doesn’t have for survival is a first aid kit and food. You get a flashlight, blanket, rope, weapon, tools, compass, everything you could need in an immediate survival emergency that isn’t also a medical emergency.Husband is super picky about camping gear/survival supplies, shtf items, and he 100 percent approves of this kit.10/10, will probably get two more for each of the cars in the family. Super little kit.

    Compact set

I ordered this for my teenage son who likes all these types of things. He has expressed to me that this is a nice set and all of the components are sturdy and decently made. The case is easily broken though.

The “Climbing Hook” says it’s not for climbing. See picture.

For what is included, I’m usually willing to overlook minor annoyances.Like, opening it requires a tool or the willingness to break a fingernail.Once you take everything out, not so easy to put it all back in, even if you are good at Tetris. You could remove the foam, but it was a nice touch that I’d hate to have to lose. The flathead is not flat enough to use on most of the screws I’ve seen. On the other hand, there are no options on that snowflake tool that will even remotely threaten to scratch you.The paracord bracelet barely fits me, with a 7″ around wrist. It was less than fun to put on.And, as mentioned in the headline, the “Climbing Hook,” as they called it, IS NOT FOR CLIMBING. It says so on both carabiners. See the image. Strike one.The flashlight doesn’t come with a battery. I put three different batteries in before testing the batteries. The next two I tried were known good batteries. The flashlight just doesn’t work. Strike two. Some things just don’t belong in a multi-tool. As much as I enjoy the hammer/axe/wrench +more, there are some tools that I like being lighter. Such as the fish descaler, knives, screwdriver and wire cutter. The hammer/axe/pliers were a good option. The rest needed to be in a separate light-weight tool. The multipurpose pocket survival tool is superfluous when considering that most of these tools are already supposed to be inside the aforementioned multi-tool. Except…At least it has a flat flathead. The compass may be made of cheap materials, but it is nicer than some of the other cheap compasses I’ve owned. I actually like it. And, while it didn’t glow-in-the dark right out of the box, a quick super-charge with a UV flashlight and it did work.Oh, so the aforementioned axe was a bit scary to get the cover back on. It stretches. You have to hook it on one end firmly and pull it past where you think it’s supposed to go, until it latches onto the other side. The survival knife has a “Push to open,” as instructed online, but it took some studying to figure out how to close. You have to put your fingers into the path of the closing blade to press the part that blocks it from closing. I’m sorry I don’t have the correct terminology for the parts. They weren’t labeled online and there were no instructions. This seems like a safety oversight. Sure, I feel comfortable using it now, when I’m alert and not in a hurry, but imagine I’m tired, hurt, scared and need to close that knife. It’s not the best practice to have your fingers in the way of the closing blade. Strike three. This isn’t the only kit I’ve tested this week that has this same flaw. I’m guessing it’s something that is standard practice that I’ve just never noticed before. There really isn’t much in here that you couldn’t put together for yourself and be less frustrated by. But, at the current price of $35.99, it has a decent amount of things to get you started. Just, well…Why doesn’t the flashlight work? It’s the most used item in any kit. And, don’t advertise it as a climbing hook when it clearly isn’t.Bottom line: Would I order again? No. Honestly, I was really interested in the D carabiners and I thought they were for climbing. Those, plus the flashlight, hammer and axe would have been worth it for me. The other items were inconsequential to me. Without the carabiners and a working flashlight, it’s not worth it. Would I gift it? No. I don’t think so. Not at this price.

    Super handy to have!

I saw this kit, and in the wake of Covid and the world going upside down, thought it would be a useful kit to have just in case. It came in a very durable, hard, plastic case, and all the tools and equipment seems to be good quality as well. The only thing is once you take the tools out, it’s hard to “Jenga” them all back in just right so you can close the case.

    Perfect Gift For Fathers Day!

I was a little hard to open, but that’s a good thing if you have little hands around. The case is a great quality! Everything in the kit was there, as described, neatly packed in. Try to remember how it was originally packed, because it’s a little hard to get it all back in there. The items were overall a perfect quality. Definitely worth the price just for the compass, multi-tool axe, and military knife alone! Everything else was just a plus! Great product. Good price point.

    Awesome!

This comes with everything you could possibly need in a pinch! I love how durable the casing is that hold all the tools. Value is there for the price, and the devices all are made with great quality and detail. Great for camping or just having in the car, or shed. Would definitely order another again!

A great emergency pack for car or truck.

Ok,most of us will never be in a life or death survival situation, but this is a good kit to keep in you vehicle just in case. It contains items that could be helpful in emergency conditions. Every thing is kind of crammed in this kit. I suggest evaluating each one of the contents and removing any you feel you do not need and replace it with needed items. Some of the items are not sturdy and are not meant for daily use. I like this kit.

    Compact Survival Kit

I can’t believe that the manufacturer was able to fit so much into such a compact kit. It easily fit in the smaller front pouch of my backpack. I was also really pleased with the quality of all of the items, from the multi-function hatchet to the flashlight. The kit is also really complete with almost everything you need to survive in the wilderness if lost. I would definitely recommend.

This tactical survival kit is a lot of awesome in a small box. The contents include almost anything you would need in an emergency situation. Very giftable as its fun to open and look at all the tools and gear. Great conversation piece. Includes fishing lures, a compass, a saw, flashlight, knife, hammer/pliers, paranoid bracelet, emergency blankets, and more! Great to keep in trunks of cars.

    Many items to help me

The media could not be loaded.

This is a great collection of items that would come in very handy if I’m in an unexpected, high need situation. I’ll keep it in my car until I go mountain camping. Then I’ll pack it to take. If I’ve forgotten something needed to survive, or lose my stuff, or get stuck out in the woods longer than planned, I can …. Survive!!

Low end items, but bargain priced. Kids loved it

The items were cheaply made bargain items, but that is too be expected in a combo kit like this that’s built for young-mid teens. Low quality is ok when it’s low cost also.

    Perfect gift for young outdoorsman

This was a perfect gift for my 12yo son. Lots of fun tools in this kit. The compass was worthless, but lots of the other things could be useful. The actual durability of the metal tools seems pretty good!

A good gift for a teenage boy or girl

This is a nice set of survival tools that are fairly well made and seem like they would actually be of use to someone that was, say, lost deep in a forest. You could, using this kit, cut your own firewood, light that firewood, stay warm next to the fire and under the included survival blanket, and even catch a clean some fish to eat using the included line and hook. There is a lot in this key, so much so that it barely fits into the container. That is a good thing. Overall, I give it 5 stars.

  35. Misha Jane

This will be in my camping gear like my emergency roadside kit is in my trunk.

Durable enough to help in a pinch. Has several tools that I wouldn’t have even thought of needing before, but now I wouldn’t want to go camping without. Make sure you put a battery in the flashlight and sharpen the knife (or maybe grab a sharpener). Everything was wrapped separately and nice and neat and was a bit hard for me to pack it all back in and still be able to close the lid, goes to show there are a lot of useful items in a small container.

    Fun All Purpose Gift

There are lots of fun things in this “survival” kit. There are many basics. For the value, it is pretty well made. Just a few things to note. Good mini flashlight with dome. The blade on the hatchet could be sharper, or a sharpening stone could be included. The multipurpose tool could be made with a higher grade steel to prevent flexing. Each item is individually wrapped and the case is solid. I wouldn’t hesitate to gift this to someone.

    Fun prep kit

I had to smile when I saw the man toys in this kit.Opening the case was not fun. The plastic latches are small and hold well, so I used some slip-joint pliers to grip and pull them open. The items in this kit may not be professional grade survival tools, but they are much better than nothing. These could certainly save a vacation, and having this kit (or part of it) could make life easier when you need a knife, hammer, or wrench. The light worked when I got an AA battery installed just right.

My product came with a broken latch so it doesn’t completely seal, which means it’s not waterproof. Everything inside was great, very heavy material used for the tools. I like the variety of items it has. It’s a lot more compact than expected! Decent quality for the price.

    Good kit for the price

I like this survival kit. I have purchased several variations of this type of kit, and I think this is one is comparable to others out there. In this one all the accessories come individually wrapped and packed nicely in a durable plastic box that can be tucked away for emergencies. The quality of the accessories seems durable, and I like that this one has several variations of the same tools. For example, in this one you get:• Two compasses’ (one with the tactical bracelet and one standalone)• Two Philips and flat screwdrivers (one set on the ax/hammer, and one set on the snowflake-multi-tool)• Two carabiners (because two is better than one)• Two rulers (one of the fire-starter scraper and one on the multifunctional card)• Two cord/ropes (One standalone and one on the bracelet)• Three sharp cutting devices (The knife, the hammer/ax, and the multifunctional card)• Three bottle openers (One on the knife, one on the ax/hammer, and one on fire-starter the scraper)Honestly, all the tools included in this kit can be useful if the situation calls for it. That said, I’m confident these accessories would hold up to basic use. If purchased separately I believe all this stuff would easily cost upwards of $50, so I believe there’s a bargain in buying it all as a kit.I would note that it would be nice if the kit came with batteries for the flashlight. I also feel that accessory instructions would also be useful as this kit is lacking here. Luckily these days it’s easy to a search up instructions online. In a nutshell, this is good kit, and I would recommend it. That’s why I’m giving this one 5 Stars.

Small survival kit loaded with tools!

This little survival kit is packed with tools that can be used to aid in outdoor adventures! I would recommend it for a younger teenager as the tools are not extremely well made. It would be a good starter kit to take when going camping, fishing, hiking. For such a small container, it holds a lot of useful tools which will probably last quite awhile if used carefully.

    It was smaller than expected

I liked the product but it was more compacted than expected. Given the price I thought it would be in a bag not a box. It will still work for what is needed.

Don’t just pack it away in a closet, go out in the field and check out using the items in camping.

The kit was all that is needed for additional survival gear. I’ve been through 4 survival schools andwith my knowledge and previous skills developed in the past this kit is a luxury that is welcomeand easy to afford.

    Knife didnt work

Everything is flimsy. Of course it is a cheap price but the knife for example broke after opening it 5 times.

    Great gift

This is a great father’s day gift or a gift to anyone you know that loves the outdoors. The knife is sharp. The tools are high quality and will definitely come in handy.

    Not just for dad

I always try to keep things stocked up for emergencies because in this day and age, you never know what’s going to happen. Plus, what if there’s a ambient apocalypse lol. I’m kidding. It really is a great set to have. Put it in your car, in your home, take it on trips. Although I’ve never been on a plane, I don’t think you can take these like that BUT it really is great to have. So many natural disasters lately and this is something great to have. Just don’t drop it on your toes….ow

    Nice Variety of stuff

This had a really nice variety of outdoor tools. I bought this to keep in my car in case I need anything. The only complaint I have is that it can be kind of hard to fit everything back in the box. It would be nice if the box was a little bigger.

There’s a lot of stuff in here

I can’t believe how many things fit in this small box! Was hard to get it back in. Everything seems of good quality and very useful.

    A phenomenal kit.

This kit is one of the best kids that I have come across. It has everything that you could think of in it. I think this is a great survival kit to have on hand. Or you can give it away to someone who likes survival gear. It comes with a fire starter first aid kit, a knife anything that you could think of just about is in this kit. I highly suggest purchasing one just to have on Deck you never know when you’re going to need it.

A bunch of cool little tools and implements if destruction!

If you’re a guy who likes gadgets and life hack objects plus you have a love for the outdoor life then this is your “toy box!” Just about every little hack you can use in outdoor/survival type situations. Just a bit of advice, these are some pretty sharp adult tools! Definitely not something you would give to a child!
