Good pack
Things I liked:Everything and more that you would need.Info sheet explaining how to address certain emergencies.Everything seemed to have good qualityPack doesn’t weigh muchThings that could make it better:I wish there was a booklet that went through everything in the pack explaining how to use the items. For example, how to use the fire starter or how to tie a good knot for the fishing stuff. It seems obvious that people should know this stuff but I for one had to consult YouTube in order to figure out how to use the saber card.Things I didn’t like:I really really really hated the blue tweezers. Felt cheap, looked cheap, and performed cheap. Especially when you get a multi tool with the pack that has pliers.I feel the flashlight should have came with a battery. Most things nowadays are either rechargeable or come with a battery. Not a huge deal and maybe even picky but it was something that I noticed.I was not a fan of how everything was just shoved in and didn’t have any organization. The last thing you want in an emergency is to open that and have everything fly out like a jack in the box. Let alone have to dig through to find the thing you need. When we go into fight or flight we loose the ability to use fine motor skills. Trying to dig through and find what you need is a waste of time and a hassle. Maybe giving everything a compartment would help with this.Overall, for the money, it is a good pack. It will definitely do what it needs to. Yes, there are some issues but everything does. I would recommend this but be mindful that some reorganizing and/removing certain items (ones you have a lot of or will never use based on the purpose of this).

Bought it for my hiking bag, totally worth the buy, very useful and an excellent value.
I originally bought this kit for a cross-country road trip with several hiking expeditions I had planned, and had a good opportunity to test it out.My first observation was how much medical supplies were included. I actually ended up deviding them and leaving some in my home first aid kit. Very satisfied with that. The case itself was tightly packed, but I could still fit in some of my own supplies, (matches, batteries, even a light-stick) and even a little more after removing the surplus medical items. The material held up well, and was a perfect size for my bookbag. Also satisfied with that. I did not get to use the tools much, but they seem sturdy enough to use, and while small, are a good size for a survival kit. The knife was sharp and ready to use. I feel satisfied knowing I have those available in my pack.Initially, I was a little concerned about the compass. I tried it out at home and while it did point north, it has some difficulty floating and requires some manipulation to get it to point in the right direction. I tried repolarizing the needle, but it is only a problem with the floater, not the magnetism itself. HOWEVER, once I did need to use it out in the forest though, it allowed me to find my way back to my car. Not perfect, but good enough to serve it’s purpose. I am happy to have it included in the kit.Lastly, I was very impressed with the flashlight. I found myself hiking out in the wild after nightfall a couple of ocassions, and from the first time my old flashlight stopped working. As soon as I pulled out the flashlight in the survival kit and installed the batteries, I was immediately impressed with how bright it was. I was even able to light the way back to the car for my friends while sitting on top of a rock formation, atleast 500 feet away. Very impressive. I ended up using the flashlight every time for the rest of the trip. I do wish the light were more white rather than blue, but otherwise, I am extremely satisfied with it. It got me out of several otherwise difficult situations.Overall, very happy and satisfied with the survival kit. Definitely worth the buy, ALOT of value for the money.

Step up from basic first aid kits
For the most part, this kit is just like one you’d get at any store. It has a ton of filler items that are cheap, low quality, and practically useless. Alongside this, the material and zipper seems heavily water resistant, but I would not consider this item waterproof. I’ll be testing it out to see how well it actual puts up to water. I trust it to not get wet in my trunk, but I wouldn’t take it fishing or on a boat and expect it to resist a pond full of water. It’s a good kit, just needs some work and some understanding that it won’t repel an ocean. It needs new tweezers and shears, added some better medical tape, some more adhesive wrap and some extra gauze. I also added a pack of those Mylar sealed medications like Advil and Tylonel. With a light amount of stuff you can buy at a corner store you can take this kit from a cheap shelf “boo-boo kit” to something you can rely on a little more.

New driver gift
I purchased this for my grandson since he just got his license and is looking for a car. I like the size of this kit and the fact that it is very lightweight and yet has most things that would be needed to render first aid. It is small enough to be kept under the seat or trunk without giving up valuable space.

Ok base for building a kit, but really not ‘ready to use’ Questionable value but nice case.
This is a good start for building a kit but as delivered there is a lot of ‘padding’ to increase the number of items to market. I recommend modify before using. Too heavy and redundant as delivered to use for backpacking. The good:-The case is reasonably solid and lightweight. Being semi-rigid makes it predictable for packing and likely easier to find if in a bag with other items.-The flashlight seems to be good for such a kit – actually useful unlike many that are disposable. A single AA battery and it is good to go. I would prefer not to have a pushbutton switch (in case of accidental press turning it on and running battery down) but the kit case should help reduce this risk.-Fire starter rod – Your basic magnesium and sparker but I like that it is a good length rod. The scraper is adequate but I’d likely use a knife if in a hurry. Will have to play with it more to see how good it really is.-Whistle – Lightweight and loud, should do the trick if needed.-Knife : Not good enough as a primary knife but a decent backup. Blade came reasonably sharp so I think it could be useful. Not too heavy. The Bad:-The tweezers are virtually useless for this kit. Sure, could pick something up, but consider why you may need tweezers for first-aid/survival – removing a splinter with these would likely be an exercise in futility. (tossed)-The Scissors are like a toy. I can’t imagine any use in emergency/survival for these. Not going to add anything to the situation that wouldn’t be better provided by a sharp knife.-The “Multitool” – seems decent at first glance, then look closer at the tools it has. The ‘saw’ blade is too short to be of use (you could break any stick it could cut), the screwdriver Philips tip is tiny and rounded on the tip (i.e. what would it fit? not much). There is one possible bottle opener that could be useful, the nail file seems to be the best tool of the lot, but rather short to use. The main tool in this is the pliers that actually do look good if limited in size. All in all, for the weight it doesn’t add much emergency value IMO. Better than nothing maybe…-The roll of tape is tiny, about 1/2in width. I’d replace with a small roll of wider more general tape for bandages (1″ at least). Tape as a lot of uses, this ‘check of the list’ sample size really isn’t worth carrying IMO. Given the number of redundant first aid items I dont’ understand the skimpy tape here.-Compass: Very small dial and much heavier than it should be for what it is. Replace with a good lightweight one. On the bright side it does seem to find north reasonably well.-Multi-purpose survival tool. Seems a good idea, this one is small and heavy. The knife edge is dull, but maybe that is a good thing as anyone using it needs to push on this edge to use the wrench slot or the 1.5″ serrated blade. Honestly can’t see planning to use this in an emergency situation. Bottle opener is perhaps most useful piece on this but when pressed to survive I bet I can open that bottle without this tool. The Redundant: (How they get to advertise 241 items without adding a bit of value…)-Cotton swabs (q-tips): While I could see wanting a couple, the only possible use for so many in emergency that I can think of is to burn as tinder for a fire. Takes up space, but light. Removed all but 10.-SA bandages (band-aids): A comfort item for sure, but don’t need to carry 50. Removed all but 10, at least I can restock later if used, supply should last a while.-Antiseptic wipes: Too many. Put all but four in the ‘restocking’ pile.-Cleansing Wipes: nice to have perhaps, too many in kit. Removed all but 4-Alcohol preps: These are tiny, very little alcohol on them so perhaps a lot is good, removed 1/2 to backstock. Likely will replace with decent sized ones (if I need them I need volume to be of any value, I’m not going to be giving a vaccination shot in the woods)-Tools: I removed the multitool and the ‘survival’ thing from the kit (see bad section), but IF someone thought them useful, consider the redundancy and weight it adds…Final Thoughts:My use case is for active hikes/walks/etc so weight and size is important to me.After thinning and going through this kit, I don’t know that the $20 price is terrible, but no bargain either. I will be replacing items (tape, lighter compass, tweezers, multitool) with more useful ones and adding to this kit before using it (i.e. ‘mole’ skin, ace bandage, gauze pads, sunscreen, antibiotic ointment, paracord).

Good basic Survival Emergency kit
This little kit packs a punch for survival needs. It has some of the basic first aid items one would need for everyday and other stuff for a survival scenerio. I purchased this kit just for what I described. I placed this kit inside a book bag for each vehicle we own. Kit has a small flashlight..an emergency blanket..a small pocket knife..a pocket utility tool that has screw driver and such inside. Sorry can’t think of the name of that doo dad right now. Fire starter..compass…basic bandides anti septic and alcohol pads and more. I did take some of the items out as i will not need 60 regular size band aides in a survival kit. So i added a couple of larger size guaze bandages. I also added tylenol packets and asprin packets. I Placed half the band aides i took out and added them to my home kit. Some kits i have owned in the past had a larger variety of bandages sizes ect. So if you are looking for a First Aid kit this is more of a Survival kit. This is not your everyday First Aid kit for your home. Look elsewhere if you are looking for a kit with a variety of bandages to keep in your home. Purchase this kit for a basic survival scenerio. With the need to add a few larger guaze pads later. Keep in your vehicle for hot summers…or bitter cold weather just in case you have an emergency on the road.

Not waterproof, otherwise as advertised.
I bought this first aid kit for my kayak so it was important to me that it was waterproof but the zipper is definitely not waterproof or even mildly water resistant. I’ll have to keep it in a bag or a waterproof lockbox for that reason. It is otherwise just fine and as advertised, I bought it on sale at 40% off and I feel like it was a great value. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the waterproof claim.

very nice
Very well packaged. Absolutely no room in package to add any thing else. Kind of a downside? I have not taken it apart to look more closely at the contents yet, just got yesterday. I am working up the energy to take it apart to review contents because I just know it will never go back together (in the small zippered pouch) again as it was originally packaged. Probably doesn’t matter since i prefer to carry medical supplies and fire-starting supplies in a thigh pack. Experience has taught me to carry this stuff separate from other supplies (backpack). If i become injured and cannot remove backpack right away i want med supplies available to me from almost any position i find myself in. Deep cuts require immediate attention and sometimes removing backpack can expedite the bleeding and initially make matters worse.

Best kit for the money ever!
This is the best all-in-one kit I have ever come across – and I’ve been looking for 10 years. The tools are not top quality but they are good. The multi-tool is very small, but has all the tools built in and comes in its own nylon holder. The compass is on a carabiner and works well. Best thing is having everything in one place. The case is very good and zipper works well. I added water purification tablets and disposable thermometers, but everything else you could need short-term is there. The cotton-tipped applicators are on wood sticks which makes them usable for fire starting too. Put some paracord around the ring handles for the wire saw and it will be great without hurting your fingers. They even come in a re-sealable plastic bag that could double for a water container and which keeps the kit clean and protected. They’re well packed.Monoki makes other kits with less in them, but the tools are not as good in my opinion. I like having the fishing kit in its own container inside the kit. Even the fire rod is good and long enough to be easy to use. I bought one (at a lower price) and liked it so much I came back and ordered 10 more for everyone in the family. These are more than worth the price. I recommend them to everyone.

Good Emergency Prep for – Wish for Better Case
I bought this as a replacement for a first aid kit that got stolen out of my car, which unfortunately is no longer available on Amazon. This is close, but not the same. I gave a grear, 5 star review to the original one. I don’t really care much for the cover on this – it’s more like a textured fabric I think will get dirty more easily. I keep this in my car for emergencies. So, it gets a 4.This is full of plenty of stuff that could be useful in a variety of emergency or survival situations from Band-Aids to fishing line/lures. I just supplement what it lacks (I add antibiotic cream, real tweezers and scissors, a small magnifying lens, etc.), and there’s room to do that. So no major complaints, but I wish Amazon would carry the 1st one I got again. Hinthint.

A Must have!!!
I bought this for “just in case” reasons prior to road tripping across the country from Florida to California. It’s already come in handy in ways I honestly didn’t expect but uniquely appropriate to health issues…My mother in law needs a walker and the airport broke it when she flew out to road trip with us. When we got to the national park, I used the pliers to fix it. It was perfect!Pros:-There’s literally everything you could ask for in here-if you ever get stranded in the wilderness, the case can get you through everything. Need directions? Compass. Need food? Fishing string/hook and knife. Hurt yourself? Bandages. Cold? Fire starter and blanket….EVERYTHING aid here!I take this with me on every hiking trip no matter how big or small cause I’ve seen the show “I shouldn’t be alive” and if those guys had this and a water filter they’d have been goldenCons: a tad bulky in my bag, but not for what it has to offer and still worth bringing, especially if you’re an over worrier like myself.
