    Perfect for solo trips.

    Overall, I’m very happy with this product. Bowls are teeny, tiny, and I haven’t really used them except to hold sauce or chopped onions, etc. Mini stove is perfect for quickly heating something and not requiring a long stop and camp fire.

    Reliable and safe but caution is advised when cooking with pots

    This was a good investment overall. The flame is POWERFUL. The pots were good for about 2 people max to eat. But be very careful or you will burn the pot. With caution it cooked all my meals for the weekend

    Great for backpacking and camping!

    This is in my car emergency kit and bugout bag. This would be great for backpackers it compacts to small size and has a pull-string bag that fits all pieces.Update: I have used this for camping. It works great, it would be best paired with a PocketRocket 2 or other adjustable flame canister stoves, the one that comes with it is not easily adjustable. They’re great for 1 or 2 people. If you use the stove it comes with, you can fit a small canister, mini Bic, the cleaning sponge, and the bamboo spatula. This size of kit would be ideal for myself for a section hike to be able to cook real food instead of just boiling water. I’ve taken out the cups and most of the extras to minimalize the set for easy hiking. The PocketRocket 2 doesn’t fit inside the pot in its original case, it would have to be wrapped in a cloth to not scratch the pot. The pot does have graduation marks, but in metric measurements (.25 ltr, .50 ltr, .75 ltr). It is still a great little cookset if you’re cooking regular food & not just boiling water. If you’re just wanting to boil water, just get just a pot. If you want versatility to cook and boil water, this is decent for the price.The cons are the pans can easily be burned. It is best to use oil and/or water when cooking real food. You should always be attentive when cooking in this set because it can easily burn if left on the flame too long. This set would be better if the pan nested inside the pot, just so the lid could be used on either pot or pan. It would also be better if it contained a small nesting cup to boil water in or drink out of. The utensils are flimsy and I really don’t use them.

    You definitely get your moneys worth.

    Ok, just opened the package and like a clown car, stuff kept coming out of it. Not sure if I will use all the stuff that came with it, however, I can give you thoughts on a few of the items. The pan and pot appear to be nice, not sure how it will stand up to the heat, but I will update my review if I’m not pleased. I have shown them on my Uberleben camp stove for a size comparison. The scouring pad? I’m gonna discard. Burner appears to be cool. Never used one. I’ll keep around if I decide to use that kind of fuel. The ferro rod and striker,…budget at best. I tried it and it does throw sparks after you get the protective film off, but I’ll throw it in the bottom of my fire kit. The bowls, sure, I could use them. They fit nice when you nest it all together. Wooden spatula, ummm,….maybe a one use thing as wood is porous and could be a potential bacteria risk. The para cord bracelet with the whistle and compass? Cute at best. I’ll throw in my pack with the rest of the para cord. The folding ladle, yep I’ll keep, but the folding flat wear,…that is pretty cool. Works rather well. That will definitely stay. Now the bag, is light weight. Has a cinch cord and a carabiner, I’m guessing to connect it to you ruck. Good for some. I don’t like anything dangling from my pack. It bothers me banging around back there. I will most likely find a MOLLE compatible zippered pouch or just throw it in the main pack compartment. Anyway, I did give it 5 stars as I don’t have anything bad to say yet and I was just impressed with the amount of stuff it came with.

    Nice lightweight mess kit

    This is a great little mess kit. I finally got to use it on my 5 day trip to Manitou Island. It was a nice size for two people. It was easy to clean with one minor annoyance. The lid trapped food down in the crease so it was a little challenging to clean. I mean the crease on top of the lid where the metal is rolled up. The stove ok but it has a couple of minor issues as well. One of the four tiny arms that flip out to hold the pan would not flip out all the way and lay flat so I just had to be really careful with the pan so the pan didn’t get knocked off. The button ignition didn’t work but that wasn’t a big deal as I used a lighter. Other than those things it was great.

    Had to toss the wooden spoon… the mold on it was apauling

    I am still uncertain if using aluminum cookware is smart. But, this came with many things I can use as well… the pots may end up as containers or hotplates or another non-food use.As for the wooden mold block… I mean spoon… It was furry with white and dark ‘life’ which was all over the balance of the product. When I placed it on a napkin (managing the new lifeforms thereon), the napkin gained particles of this life and it stuck to the ‘spoon’. This spoon is so sodden that I can smash it with my fingers.The balance is basically generic things that have uses. The firestarter on the bracelet is a nice (yet, so far; unusable) touch. Nice idea which can use a lot of help with follow through.

    Great outdoor gear

    Being an avid outdoors man I very much enjoy how light weight and compact it is. Takes up very little space in any pack. Unlike other mess kits I’ve bought I appreciate how this kit came with everything for two people or one including a burner unit and fire rod. I recommend this to anyone that is avid in outdoor activities. Looking forward to checking out and purchasing other mallo products

    Nice complete cooking kit

    I gave this kit as part of a wedding gift, so I haven’t used it. But, on inspecting it, I noticed it had quite a large dent in the pot. I didn’t have time to return it before the wedding. The dent didn’t make it unusable, but I would have liked it not to be there. I included this with a backpacking stove. The folding ladle made me want to order another one, pretty cool!

    Great set, excellent customer service

    I loved this kit in terms of compacting and how lightweight it was. The pieces are very easy to use and unpack.There was one pan that burned unexpectedly with a small backpacking stove. However, I am still rating them five stars for excellent customer service and fixing the situation. They did assure me that it is unusual for the pan to burn and it was a simple manufacturing mistake. I highly recommend this product and this company, as I will definitely be looking to them for future equipment.

    Perfect for single camping trips. Don’t buy if you want it to last

    Brought this kit out for a camping trip in Minnesota. Used it for over a week so it was well worn in.Pros: Kit 100% served its purpose. It boils water in about 1min. Cooks food quickly and efficiently. Lightweight. Portable. Easily compacts and stores. Would definitely recommend.Cons: Included silverware was rusting significantly by day 3. We threw away the plastic bowls because they’re so small. You can’t do anything with them. The burner really only has two settings. Be careful when you cook because you’ll burn anything quickly. It’s also very unstable…it’s easy to tip over. But I think that may be normal with whatever you buy from.Overall: I’ll give it 3/5 stars. It’s a perfect cheap kit for a few trips but don’t expect this thing to last past your 3rd or 4th trip.

    Arrived exactly as promised!

    I have not had a chance to use this yet but it arrived here as promised and seems to be a great product. I look forward to using this on the trail and hope that it will last for many adventures in the future. I really like that this kit came with the mini-stove, I had been looking to purchase this stove and a mess kit like this separately but the fact they came together like this was the deciding factor in my purchase of this item.

    Ruined my food.

    Had pretty high hopes for this based on a lot of positive reviews, but I’ll be sending it back and getting something of a higher quality. I washed in mild dish soap upon receiving it and took the set camping for the weekend. Seemed well-made, and pretty compact and light, so I was excited to use it.The very first thing I attempted to cook in it was standard breakfast sausage links, and it did not do well. Something in the pan’s composition reacted poorly to the sausage and immediately created a sticky, black film in the pan that is impossible to remove even after boiling soapy water in it and scrubbing. Of course, I had to toss those little piggies and cook more in my friend’s pan which worked fine with no trace of the sticky film of doom, definitely not the fault of the sausage. Same stove, same sausage, same spatula. If I can’t even cook breakfast sausage without ruining both the food and the pan, what’s the point?I can’t speak to the quality of any of the included pieces as everything went immediately back in the bag after the sausage debacle. The picture is this pan on the left next to the 20 year old pan that cooked perfectly and cleaned up in a snap. I’m sure, however, that it would be fine for boiling water, but the reaction to the one thing I tried to cook in it doesn’t give me great confidence in eating or drinking anything that touched these pans.

    Cookware

    I haven’t used this yet. I bought it for an up coming trip. Everything looks to be durabile and will be useful. I was surprised though by how small the cookware is. I may have missed it in the description but the pictures made all of the pieces look larger. Being that I will be cooking for a family, I have had to get some larger pieces. But, if just cooking for 1 or maybe 2 people this is a good set.

    Arrived fast and so far it’s been outstanding.

    It came amazingly quick, great for an individual but in time of need you could definitely feed a couple people. I’ve used it this week to make my lunches. I’m a contractor on job sites without power at times. Had a hot meal everyday this week.I would definitely buy again and will get the larger size.

    Great set!

    Took this camping recently and it was awesome! The only thing I will say is that the little bowls were a tad on the small side but it was overall very lightweight and the pans balanced well on the stove and because I had the MountainHouse food I didn’t even need the bowls!

    This set came with a great deal of many things that are extremely usefu like: A fire starter that I didn’t know was included, bracelet with a compass, an addition for a stove-top in propane tank, and additional silverware along the metal spork.     Used this multiple times, stream side when trout fishing to backcountry camping. Great for cooking eggs to boiling water for freeze dried meals.     Backpacking size

    I purchased this for backpacking this upcoming summer. I didn’t realize how small it was which is a good thing. Less weight is better. It would be nice if it came with a plate but it’s not a deal breaker.

    Nice kit. Seems strange that it has plastic handles though. And wood spoon is just a tad too large to fit in the kit. I was surprised that it included a little stove with it too. And the stove has a built in igniter. It also has a fire starter. I think I’ll keep it.

    Great Value

    Can’t really beat the price. Also came with a paracord compass bracelet which helped me complete my camping/survival kit without having to make an extra purchase. It’s very lightweight and compact, yet spacious enough to make a meal for 2 adults and maybe 2 children. I’d recommend a non-scratch brilo pad for cleaning. You can also purchase natural dish soap that would be fine for the environment to take on the trip.

    Was impressed with the quality of the pots. The stove seems a little flimsy however it did work wonderful, on high it rips through the fuel so be careful there. I would advise spraying the pans or coating them before cooking, the eggs I made really stuck even when using butter on them bottom. I also used them on an over the fire grate, they worked however I do not recommend this, the handles started to turn brown, they didn’t melt.

    Good product

    I tried a couple of times in some tracks and it works really good. The big pot is perfect for soups, milk…. but the small pan could be better, anyway it’s ok as well. The product was really useful

    I always thought I’d invest in something like a JetBoil for camping

    Saw this on sale on amazon. I always thought I’d invest in something like a JetBoil for camping, but didn’t want to spend the money. This little set is awesome! didn’t take everything on my backpacking trip, but what I did bring was awesome! brought the igniter/stand and the larger pot with lid. It was lightweight and super easy to use, we were very happy with it, can’t beat the price either. Highly recommended.

    Lightweight, compact

    We have only used this once so far but it worked well. The pot and pan are a bit small but it is perfect for backpacking. We just ate what fit and then made some more. The burner focuses heat in the center so there is a burn spot on our pot now. Just make sure to keep stirring to avoid burning in the center.

    Light weight stove

    I love this product. It is lightweight and easy to carry on the outside of my pack. Super helpful when Iam hiking in the Cascade mountains or just trekking across the forest fordays on end. This all in one kit is just fantastic and easy to use.Wonderful product! I cant say enough how much I enjoy it!

    Compact and lightweight

    These are lightweight, compact for storage, and the burner that came with it works flawlessly. I’ve used this multiple times and had worked fine each use! The pans are easy to clean and dry quickly as well!

    Cookware great…. tableware not so much

    The pot, pan and stove are good. I also like the spatula. But the bowls and the silverware seem cheap and kind of take away from the whole package. Probably some aluminum silverware and some silicon bowls would be better. Cookware is good for the price though
