    Love it

I love this thing! Took it on a camping/hiking trip for 3 days and it packed everything I needed and than some. This thing is big! I bought the one with the two side bags. I was just floored how well it was built. It has all the bells and whistles. I didn’t know when purchasing it, when you open the top flap, it tells you how to signal for help with different things. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you get one. Color is right on too. For the price, you can’t beat it either. This pack could easily be $180 bag and would be well worth it. But that’s just my opinion. I would purchase this bag again and again if I had to. I researched for a couple weeks on all different kinds of bags. Then I stumbled on to this pack on here. Did some research on it and watched some YouTube videos reviews. It was between this one and another. But I decided to get this one because it had more to offer. I’m so glad I did get this one. Hope this helps anyone who is having trouble finding a great pack. Trust me I’m very picky and this is the one.

    Matching color rain cover?

Bag looks great. While I was opening the pockets I noticed on the bottom a small zipper. When I opened it the rain cover was enclosed. That’s cool so less chance of losing it. Problem is that the color doesn’t match. Was the use of ordering a black bag when it’s will be all green when I have to cover it?

    Awesome pack for the price

Have this pack now for a few months. Currently have it packed as a three day pack. Plenty of room. I read reviews that the side pouches only are held on by the zipper. This is not true or the company fixed this as they have straps holding them to the bag. Very comfortable even on longer hikes. Rain fly on mine came an was not blaze orange as some reviews show it was green. Company may have fixed that too. After approximately 60 miles packed at 46lbs with water it shows no signs of wear or seems separating. Definitely would recommend.

    So far so good

I just got this backpack for next year PCT hike. I have started to train with it to get my body hike ready and to also make sure this bag holds its true value. So I will continue to update as needed.Sept 20, 2019:Pro: So far so good. Comfort all around, no back pain discomfort. Most of the weight is held on the straps/shoulders and all the padding on the back makes your body forget you are carrying one. I have so far loaded it with a combine total of 77 lbs. There hasn’t been any rips yet. I have also (on purpose) attached a lot of useless items on the out side just to ensure all the strapping and webbing holds. So far so good.Negative: I did have a full 2 Gallon plastic cold water jug on the lower portion of the bag and condensation went thru. Hopefully, during sprinkle weather it doesn’t go thru in reverse. I will be treating my mag with some water repellant sealant.

    Wow Build-A-Bear. Awesome

Talk about Build-A-Bear workshop.I’m really impressed with this pack. I was able to get 3 K’ pal packs on the back Extending another 5 liters to the pack making it now a 80 liters pack. The smaller bag can go on it as well another 10 to 12 liters of space with the waste rang pack. Now I am over 90 liters capacity and still got exterior capability. This pack is extremely universal and adaptable with multiple capacities. The regular backpacks has no organization or the ability to break down capacity or build capacity. This pack with k’pals and other pack systems allows external organization. This pack allows me to go to an area to cook and go to a area to camp without unloading and loading the pack. It is really awesome to be organized to be able to find things at night and not have to break down half your pack to get to it in the dark. It is a well made pack good fabric and good construction

Really wanted this to work but…

I have been shopping for a decent internal frame hiking backpack. Something I can take on weekend camp outs or use on a 1-2 day long hike. I love the molle system and have found it to be extremely useful in my day to day backpacks so when I saw this item, I couldn’t wait to get it. Well, it was quite disappointing. The material was quite thin and I would imagine it ripping even from the lightest use on a camping trip. The hip belt was uncomfortable and offered little lumbar support. The plastic clips were of poor quality and one of them just snapped in my hand as I was trying to insert it into its counterpart. Overall, the bag had tons of space and the included rain cover was super cool and quite necessary as this bag is not rain proof by any means. The 2 detachable side pockets seemed cool at first but are kinda useless. I would have preferred to have built in side pouches that don’t detach. Overall, a nice idea in principle but poor execution based on quality and long term life expectancy of the product with normal use.

Stop looking and get this pack

This is a pretty great pack. Over the years I have spent hundreds for packs that I would use for search and rescue and also mountaineering and I wish I would have found this company sooner. Tons of storage (detatchable too) and nicely built, I am looking to summer adventures!

Great for the price. Not true Molle

Just recieved this backpack and wantwd to give first impressions. I’ll update after some use.The materials seem to be heavier duty than most packs. It is not a lightweight pack. It is not meant to be. The stitching is not bartack. Just note that. But for the price what can you expect? The stitching is not perfectly placed but for the price it seems well done overall. Little to no stray threads, etc…One thing to note, the “Molle” on the back is not true Molle. Stitching is about 3-4 inches apart rather than the 1 inch spec so if you use it expect a lot of sagging of attached items. For a first pack it would be great. It seems fairly durable as well.Looking forward to taking it on a hike to try out comfort and useability.

    Very comfortable during hike

Finally got to use this pack on a long weekend camping trip. Had plenty of room for hammock, under quilt, top quilt, tarp, etc in lower portion plus change of clothes etc. in upper portion. Had room to spare in side pockets. Walked in to campsite a couple of miles off road and the pack fit perfectly. Very comfortable during hike. Had easy access to both upper and lower portions of pack. Only real downside was a lack of pulls on zippers which I’ll add in the near future. This quickly became my go-to pack.

For the money it’s as good as it gets

You won’t find a better hiking pack for cheaper than this. Immensely better than any military rucksack and half the price. I’ve only used it 10 or so times and haven’t overloaded it but so far it’s holding up

    Great so far

I’m going with 4 stars right now but will update once I give it a good thorough haul in the outdoors. Everything is well built. The stitching is snug and the clasps look like they hold up. I love the pockets on the belt for quick access. I’ll be testing the durability every month as we adventure out on hikes, camping, and overall wear-and-tear.

    Two ”YKK” Zippers

    – Two stars right off the bat for the Two metal ”YKK Zippers” on the side pouches, the rest is plastic junk that was already split apart before I touched it. The material is thin, but to be expected compared to my 600 dollar packs. The material is plasticky, and stiff making that much more work for the majority of the cheap zippers. Putting Two good YKK zippers on a bag does not give you the right to advertise as all YKK zippers.

    easy to pack.

I gave this to my son for his birthday. He loved it and immediately packed all his gear in it. He said there was room for everything he needed. He hasn’t used it yet but is looking forward to warmer weather to go camping.

All Zippers are good quality. Need to larger eyes on zipper

This is a quality bag, worth the cost. I feel a 100% confident this bag is gonna survive the trip, with little to no problems. A+ zippers, All Zippers are good quality. Need to larger eyes on zipper, could not attach Paracord pulls on zippers. A+ Cargo and pouches. Plenty of space. I use 1 pouch for a 2litter bladder. Molle web is limited but plenty for what I needed.B- Straps and C +Clasp they’re strong enough and plenty of them. However stich location makes it hard to apply tension in some areas.I installed extra clasp on Long straps to Make a quick release for Rifle carry.Shoulder strap and waist belt is comfortable. Chest strap is questionable, I feel this is the weakest part of the whole pack.I would also recommend getting something to tie down ends of straps, maybe be a problem moving through thick brush

    Marding top Hicking Bag

I read the reviews and I know what the down side is with the upper stitches coming undone. I plan to have it stitched by the Dry Cleaner. I have a sleeping bag that I can roll up tight and it can hold it inside when I have it in storage. It has many compartments and straps to hold external thing. I was impressed with the fabric itself. Stitching is something that can be reinforced but if the fabric is good it can handle extra stitching.I am happy with my purchase.

    Not Comfortable with Loaded Pack.

Good things; plenty of storage room, molle webbing, plenty of tensioner straps, removable side 10 liter pockets give you plenty of options for carrying water or things to get to in a hurry. Material is good. Bad things; shoulder strap padding not wide enough and thick enough, the padded waistbelt is way too short, should be several more inches of padding on it unless you have a 26 in waist then you are probably okay. I am 6ft and 190 lbs and took this pack on about a 5 mile hike to campsite carrying about 40 lbs including weight of backpack. Never was I so miserable carrying that much weight in a pack and I have carried that much several times with different 65 L packs. Removed the pack several times to try to adjust torso length adjuster. Never could find the “sweet spot”. Either too much on the hips or too much on the shoulders. Also the material the straps are made of is too flimsy or the tensioners or buckles let the straps slip. I would not recommend this pack for hiking any distance with a load. Car camping it will be great but hiking no.

    Great Place to Start

Overall, great starter hiking pack. I subtracted a star because the “molle” webbing is not to standard and wouldn’t trust attaching much onto it. However, it does say “light load” when it references it. Other than that, seems like a solid bag. It feels good and has plenty of storage room. I got the pack with the additional side pouches which gives you even more carrying capacity.

Great camping or bug out bag.

These bags are simply amazing for the cost. I’ll be using them for my bug out bags (BOB). The size is perfect. The fit is adjustable, and fits me perfectly at 6’0 165 pounds and my wife at 5’1 and 125 pounds. It has just the right amount of compartments.

    Awesome backpack! Highly recommended!

Haven’t used it yet but I will here very soon, then I’ll rate the pros and cons of the bag after my camping trip. But I as of right now I do like the overall looks of it and the many storage compartments. To be continued… UPDATE: absolutely love this backpack it preformed very well held all my gear and was very comfortable and durable I will be using this pack for a very long time. I highly recommend this backpack!

Nice big size, easy on the back, easy outside pocket access

Lots of outside pockets and webbing to hang other bags/items. Inside is one big area, no pockets but there is a drawstring between the larger upper part and lower part of the bag to separate the sections. Nice frame, not too rigid, with padding at the lower back/hips for carrying on your back. Straps all around to cinch down the inside load or shrink bag against a smaller load. Heavy duty, seems well built, though I haven’t taken it out for road trials yet. For size perspective, here are pictures of it next to a 40L bag, with a Kleenex box in front, and a yard stick behind. Excuse the disheveled look; I’m in the middle of loading it so straps are unhooked and pockets unzipped. This is the 40L bag next to it. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018HXRGSU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also very nice, lots of pockets but too small for a bug out bag. 😉

    Fantastic Bug out bag

This is a very durable backpack with 2 removable side compartments. The stitching is very nice and is double stitched. The only draw back to this bag, it the main compartment is completely open with no inner pockets so that makes keeping your items compartmentalized a bit challenging. I was able to put a complete 72 hour kit in this bag including food, clothes, shelter and other basic necessities with no problem. I purchased several smaller bags to keep like items together, and this managed the lack of compartments issue. I can even mount a rifle to this bag and that is a definite plus in my book.Overall, this bag is worth the price and is on par with the brand name bags, but for a fraction of the cost.

    Sturdy back pack

I have yet to take it out on a trip as I just got it today. However I can say that it’s not as heavy as some would imply, unless an ounce matters for those who I won’t say serious (because everyone is serious), but distance is the journey for some. Where someone like me who would rather disappear in the woods, this pack will rock. Now because we are all serious about what we put on our backs I will say this pack is for me. It has plenty of places to hook up supplies. The material is heavier than the thin nylon that the distance trekker would want. So I don’t expect it to fall apart or tear so easily. And if it did it would probably be carelessness on my part. I don’t know how water resistant it is but I always spray my back packs with Scotch-guard anyway. So I’m not worried about it. I like the draw string inside the pack to close up and separate two compartments from one another. I had one that had a zipper that did that and although it never split on me. I was worried that it would stick from sand or something like that. Inside on the top flap has a few basic notes about calling for help and finding a direction (nice touch for a newbie and it won’t affect the weight of the pack at all). The pack I got had the detachable sides. Now that’s ok, but I feel that the velcro will eventually lose its effectiveness but there is a loop behind it that helps hold it in place along with a zipper.I did check it all over for defects and rips and found none at all. So I was really happy about that because customs delayed it a few days. And yes it’s made in China, but actually pretty impressed because it’s not cheap or shoddy from what I can tell. So whoever designed it was picky about it. The only down side I can say about it is that it’s a single stitch on the seams. But I’m not worried about that because it’s a heavy stitch and heavy thread being used and the material accepts that comfortably.I give it a solid thumbs up from me on what I feel it is meant for, a nice quiet week in the woods.May update after a few trips out with it

    Quality. Solid. Good buy, but….

This was purchased on a lighting deal. Now, I have the digital dark green camo version. I thought I had selected a different color, blue, but alas, I picked this odd duck. My bad. It is a weird color pattern up close in person. Not like other digital patterns I have on other stuff. So be aware of that if you’re into digital camo. This pack has the attached side pouches. They are not secured very well(one side zips up- literally it is secured with the zip at the top/north position..and the other side is velcro. THERE IS NO MOLLE UNDER THE ATTACHED POUCHES! Just an fyi for you.One of the side zips will not stay up, keeps going down with very little weight applied and neither pouch seems to be good for any real weight, was planning water bottles, or camp cooking equip, but will use for blankets, rain clothes, extra socks, I dont know- something light weight. It’s like a modern long trekking internal framed backpack, a ruck sack and a modern GI issue molle pack had a “special night” and this was created. Not a bad thing, idea is very cool and provides alot of versatility. The waist belt: is just OK. The hips are well padded, and small little pockets on these hip pads-but once on your body dont put a phone, gps or other delicate device in these, it will smash up against you. Good for a snack bar or bag, jerky, keys, something small and not to fragile. The belt that comes from the hip pads is just nylon straps with buckles and pull tights. It will be a bit uncomfortable after awhile. There is nowhere to attach a pistol holster, which is odd being one (or more) of this packs three parents is from military decent. Would be nice, But not a deal breaker.Frame: solid. No over-movement or slack, but is close to the back. You will have “swamp back” after a while in the heat with on your back- no way outta that! Be good for cooler climates?Sholder straps: again, just ok. “J” style with a chest strap. I personally prefer the “S” type, but it functions and not really too uncomfortable. Good padding. The size adjustment seems strong, and simple to change, just go to You Tube and find a video on sizing/adjusting this type of packs straps if you have issues.Material: stiff. It will need some breaking in to remove the shape it came in from shipping- all compacted and smashed. Seems quite durable though. I pulled and tugged trying to see if anything came loose or tore, it held up good – no damage. I have faith in the material itself. The material is sort of water resistant. A bead or two will roll off, but in a monsoon, break out the banana (rain cover, see below). It says theres no pocket for a water bladder on this version with attached side pouches-but there’s something that can be used… probably not its intended purpose, but there’s a hanger and room in this pocket, where a h20 bladder would in theory be placed…. so I’ll give that a try. I did purchase a voo doo h20 carrier with molle attach points for use with this, but now I may not need it.Storage: plentiful. The lower section (sleeping bag?) Is sectioned off with draw string closure. I have to open up the division draw string to get a 20° bag in there, but it will cram in ok. Lots of room for small tent, food, h20, gear, clothing etc…. plus hooks, loops and rings for trekking poles, axe, shovel, even a rifle can be held outside- under the attached pouches, and the butt goes into a little pocket perfect fit. Would use a wood/smooth butt stock rifle; typical AR15 6 position stock got held up on the pocket and some of the NUMEROUS straps- but will work, just no quick deployment. Top flap has a little zippered area, be good for navs, maps, etc. Molle provides a good spot for a rip-away IFAK or blowout trauma kit.Straps: lots of themTheres room for a light sleeping bag, sleep pad, wool blanket on the top and bottom with looped straps. They seem to be well secured, sewn well into anchor points on the pack. You will have to play around with it to fully utilize all the various attachment points on the Exterior of the pack.Zippers seem well sewn as well. I couldnt find any bad connections or missed stitching on any of the zips.Rain cover: it is bright yellow. Now, you know about the dark green camo this thing is clad in…. why in the heck is the rain cover “I’m over here” yellow when the pack is “no one can see me” camo? I guess if it starts raining- you just gotta stop blending into the environment and be yellow. Anyway, it does cover the whole pack, but may have issues with large sleeping bag, sleep pads, other gear lashed to the Exterior. It also takes up a substantial amount of space in the bottom compartment! But hey, who doesn’t want to look like a big banana in the rain. All you die hards- I know the reasons for the bright colors, just strikes me as funny on a camo pack….Overall, it’s a good pack. I will be doing a dry run soon (family camping- not really camping; bathrooms, paved roads and fire rings- slowly gearing them up for a real trip next year :-)) and go on an adventure hike around the “woods” with this pack at my full load out to test it thoroughly. It may be vain, but I will probably not have this as my hiking bag, even if it holds up- due to me ordering the wrong color pattern, and not wanting to wait for a return/replace. I know, I’m dumb, but the color pattern is really odd to me! If it tests well I will/ may be ordering the blue or black one without side pouches already attached, those versions have molle on the sides -were the pre-pouched version does not. It will however become a replacement bug out bag(assuming it does perform well), as each family member in the house has their own very lightweight bag, and I want just a few more goodies with me if SHTF and we gotta split. And really, in that situation, not concerned about color- but may need to remove the banana cover??!The weight balance seems well done- as long as you strategically pack and keep heavier gear near the frame. My overall review: good for light to moderate hikes and camping. Good for larger bug out bag. NOT for long term use; like international walk abouts or severe / hostle climates. This isn’t a “tactical” pack. It’s more of a backpackers pack with a hint of tactical fine touches. Main compartment is just one big bag, with a divider for the bottom, no 60000 little pockets and crevices for individual items.ONCE FULLY TESTED, IF I AM WRONG IN THESE STATEMENTS, OR OTHER DEVELOPMENTS OCCUR, I WILL CERTAINLY UPDATE THIS REVIEW!After September of 2019, if no updates, my statements stands. Thanks for for reading my review.

    I was really nervous

When I bought this bag I wanted something that was a little more tactical than standard hiker packs, but I wanted all the features and benefits of the hiker packs. I just got this today and so far I’m very happy. The material feels lightweight, but not in a cheap way, but lightweight like you would expect from backpacking gear. There are lots of pockets and straps. There are many ways to adjust and dial in the pack just the way you want it. I was nervous because I was afraid this would be of poor quality. I don’t think that is the base, but if my opinion changes I’ll update this review.

    For the money it’s great

I’m going to start with the cons first, so far there’s only a couple.1. A bag this size that’s meant to carry this much weight should really be double stitched pretty much where ever there is stitching.2. Like others have stated, the side pouches zip from the bottom up so they will wander unless you remedy a solution for that issue, which I have. The prosFor sub 150 dollars this bag is great. The straps, the padding, the waistline belt, everything. I’ve loaded it to about 60ish lbs and full to the top. I have a woobie, poncho, sleeping bag, tent, multiple changes of clothes, tarp, wool blanket, food, water filtration, a shovel, a folding saw, you name it, you can fit it in or on. I’ve carried it around the property to make sure it wasn’t going to fall apart but have yet to hit the trails or go camping yet. Will update after a couple trips

Good but i dont feel safe with it

I got this backpack for a Survival Pack narrative. Its very spacious that’s for sure. Not a Walmart bag but not a Survival Bag in my opinion. A Survival Bag needs to be durable and strong enough to survive the roughest elements and conditions. The side pouches became very bulky and didn’t feel satisfactory for me. The zippers on the side pouches are not secure, they can and will unzip partly. The carrying Handle on the Top of the pack doesn’t feel secure when fully loaded. I feel like it will rip, and that’s at 30 lbs. After seeing many peoples reviews with stitching issues and ripping issues, and having my own personal dislikes I just didn’t feel comfortable having this back pack as my rugged survival pack.So i went and bought me a $320 Vanquest Markor 45 Backpack and called it a day:)Buy once, cry once.I don’t think its a bad backpack and i think it will work for some people. But not for my uses. Once you start filling it up all the space, weight could be a problem on longevity of the back pack really quick in my opinion.

    Heavy Duty Well Made Pack

Very tough construction with good padded shoulder and waist straps to carry heavier loads. The pack weighs in a little heavier than others but that’s the price for tougher materials. The pack should easily carry 50 pounds comfortably and comes with its own rain cover in its own zippered compartment. Plenty of strapping options with the Molle system.

This product is worth every penny and I would recommend it as a bug out bag and or long hike pack for trail hiking.

    Great without breaking the bank

A lot of my gear is budget minded! First backpacking pack and trip was taken with this to the Badlands!Fit all of my gear for myself for 3 days. Pack was comfy, at least for a 200+ pound man hiking around. Quality is fantastic, It didn’t feel like a “budget option” my buddy has the same pack and recommended it to me. I’m a big fan, quality is great, compartments just make sense for how I used it, easy access, many slots and molly for extra customizing. Water blatter fit in without much issue. I chose this over a teton and love it. Great choice! Would love to see what other geat this company offers!

Not a survival or military backpack at all.

The thin material this backpack is made of will not withstand rugged use at all. The lifting strap at the top will easily rip right off if loaded with anything more than 20-30 pounds [ 9-14 kilos ]. Overall design is good, looks like a ripoff of a large premium name product. Best thing about the pack are the well padded shoulder straps and the good quality clips and zippers, but that’s about it. NOT FOR LONG HIKES OR DEEP WOODS CAMPING. The included rain fly absolutely stinks like vinegar too. NOT A GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY!

Great deal on a military style pack

I am new to backpacking but have been hiking for a while. my other packs dont have the capacity or support for what i need to carry. First i decided to go with a Amazon basics 65L pack and it was pretty poorly assembled and the fabric made it feel like a giant kids Jansport backpack. After returning the amazon pack i went after this hoping the material would be better quality. The pack feels much better than the cheaper ones on Amazon as far as the fabric and zippers go so it gave me a little more piece of mind. The additional side pockets attach with velcro, zippers, and a strap so its about as secure as it could be and they are nice for separating out certain things from the large compartment. The webbing adds lots of options if you have other molle gear you want to stick on. The internal space is separated by a stuff sack like pull tie. This is great if you want to separate the gear in the top of the bag from your sleeping bag in the bottom, especially since you can access things from the bottom. If your like my and horde military gear you’re probably looking to bring along your military modular sleep system too. At first i tried shoving the whole system in with the compression bag but it took up most the room in my pack. To get the modular bag to fit in the lower compartment you have to open it from the inside and stuff the two sleeping bags down without the compression bag or the gortex outer shell. Just find a different pocket for the gortex cover if you need it.Overall i am very happy with the purchase as i think this is the best deal under 100 bucks as far as durability and versatility goes.

    Hunters Pack

Highly recommend this pack for any outdoor enthusiast. I am a hunter, go on packing trips, and also just camping in the woods. This pack will meet all of your needs. Had a ton of space, it’s not over complicated with pockets, and has a MOLLE system. I weigh my pack down with between 40 and 50 pounds each outing, stitching is great, zippers are great, shoulder pads and hip pads are awesome as well! This pack has great weight distribution features, straps don’t slip, and sits perfectly on your hips without wearing your shoulders out.My most favorite feature about This pack is that you can strap your gun to it and go! It has a perfect cup for the butt of the gun and two straps a long side the pack that perfectly secures any long rifle(AR in my case) to the side of your pack without any second thought of it falling off. Again, I highly recommend this pack to any hunter looking for one, it has it all as far as my needs go.I can fit a polish Luvue two man poncho TP with poles, wool blanket, sleeping pad(attached to the outside), ENO hammock, camp Pillow, cooking ware, extra clothing, 4000+ calories of food, my camel back water pouch, My gun, camp hatchet, and all my tiny camp items(hygiene products). Like I said, I pack in about 40 to 50 pounds on any given trip. Would not hesitate to buy this bag again!

    Great pack!

I use this pack all the time for camping, and so far it has been perfect. With the exception of 1 thing, the buckle on the hip belt broke, but it could of been me, I’m rough on things. Its not a big deal but still worth mentioning. I got on Amazon and ordered a new buckle, simple. This pack is for the weekend warrior like myself. The pack clocks in at 5 pounds, if you compare the weights of other packs of the same size it’s not that much heavier. If you’re a through hiker then go ahead and spend 400 dollars on a dynema hyperlite pack. But for the average person who just wants to get out on trail for 2 or 3 days then it works great! I’m thoroughly impressed. The price is great, the pack is rugged, its comparatively the same weight as other packs this size. I’ve had a lot of other packs and I’m glad I bought this one. I think it will stand stand test of time. If you’re on the fence just go ahead and pull the trigger you won’t be disappointed.

Has Withstood the Test of Time!

I’ve had my 65+10L pack now for a little over two years and have never had a zipper or strap to break (including the buckles), no fabric tears or seams to start coming apart. Of course, if I’m not careful, I can get it a little heavy being that the backpack itself is a total of 75 liters and as you can see from my photos I’ve added extra molle pouches and bags, but the ability to distribute the weight in this pack is awesome.I’m a professional wildlife photographer and wildlife guide in Florida and I needed a ruck that would allow me to take equipment I need into places when I couldn’t drive my Jeep Wrangler to. This pack has exceeded my expectations! The Olive Drab green color is spot-on perfect and hasn’t even faded during the last two years of constant use (excessive camping and segmental Florida Trail & AT hiking)I could not have asked for a better ruck for my needs. I don’t hesitate to recommend this pack to any of my clients who comment on it (which is frequently). If you take care of this pack, it will definitely take care of you and last a long time.

Quality, comfortable pack for the money…

Loaded this thing down with some serious weight and packed it through the back country. Easy to pack/unpack, and feels well balanced. The material feels very heavy duty as well. Keep in mind that this is not a lightweight pack, so if that’s what you’re looking for you may want to look elsewhere. You could remove the side pouches and load it light, but you would still be better off with a smaller, lighter pack if that’s your goal. That being said, even under heavy load it’s a pretty comfortable pack. The only thing I can knock, and this is kind of significant, is the straps. The waist and sternum straps take a bit to loosen up, if they loosen up at all, but all of the arm and shoulder straps loosen on their own under load. I lost count of how many times I had to stop and yank the things down in an attempt to lock them. The pack is worth it, but if you plan on putting this pack through the paces I 100% recommend replacing the strap buckles with something that locks in a little more positive.

Great Bug Out or INCH Bag

This bag is excellent. I have it loaded with about 65 pounds of bug out gear and it rests very comfortably on my back due to the great design of the bag. I highly reccomend. I have it loaded with everything I need to sustain for months because if I ever have to bug out and leave my actual residence, that means things have gotten so bad I will probably not be coming back, ever. So far I am stoked

This is one of those things where I didn’t read reviews or really look at the product description when I bought it. I know, most of us know better than to do that but I was in a hurry (which means I was shopping at work when I wasn’t supposed to)I had no idea how utilitarian this pack was. I bought this as a quick summer bag – so I didn’t have to haul my old hefty Alice pack into short hike and camp trips. allot of pockets, a boat load of options.my only quip is related to some of the plastic buckles in the front. They do feel flimsy, so I am going to replace those asap with better buckles, maybe even opt for fasteners instead. It wouldn’t be, and wont be the last time I’ve had to do that- even on old milsurp LBE’s. I don’t think its worth removing a star over.in summery, I think the value of this pack is fantastic. its comfortable, big, looks and feels reasonably water resistant, and it didn’t break the bank. I will try and come back to update as time goes forward.7/20/19Still using the S*** out of this pack, everything is still good other than some of the color faded and it has a permanent campfire smell.

    Great bag for the price!

Well constructed pack, fits my tall torso & is comfortable. I have the 65l & 10l so I don’t have an outlet for my hydration hose although it has a pouch to put it in & has a velcro tab at the top inside to hang the bag. So I just ran the tube out the top. Works ok but would prefer a real outlet. For the price, this is a great buy. I may also purchase the 45L for short hikes. One other thing – I would like to see a wider belt & sturdier buckle on the waist straps. The padding is fine & the zip pockets hold a good amount of gear for quick access with out removing the pack.

    Excellent Design & Quality

Well made and designed. Took out the hip belt and put in the other way for buckling in front of pack, making the pack 15 in. wide and 8 -1/2 in. deep, for transporting, and attaching single shoulder strap. Took out the metal frame, so the length of pack can adjust; 27-1/2 in. now. Used the side pocket outer straps for pulling them flat toward the back and securing the shoulder straps; for transport. When I arrive, Can take out my stainless 5-3/4 inch diameter X 5-1/2 in. deep Solo Pot, and slide that in a side pocket; then slide in my stainless 64 oz. clean canteen, 4-1/2 in. x 10-1/2 in. Amazing high quality side pockets. Shoulder straps and Hip belt, well made and adjustable for putting weight on hips.

    Really like this pack!

Purchased for a week long elk hunt. I’ve got 50lbs in it and walked several 5 milers for training purposes. The shoulder straps slip a bit walking downhill. Nothing that would cause me to write the pack off! I think a 4 day trek would be perfect for this backpack. Having to decide what I can live without for three days

    Not if you have pecs

First of all they sent the wrong pack, wrong model, wrong color. Loaded it with 35lbs and tried it on. The pec strap wasn’t even close to being able to buckle and I’m only moderately built. Stitch quality looked ok but all the weight seem to sit on the shoulders and not even well distributed shoulder weight. You can feel almost all the weight right on your spine. I could tell that after a mile or 2 it would be really uncomfortable. Decided on the Kelty coyote 105 instead.

Great get-home or bug-out bag. Fits all I need and then some.

Great get-home or bug-out bag. Fits all I need and then some. The belt is well-padded and comfortable. The webbing straps allow me to strap my tent to the outside and easy access to the separate compartment on the bottom-most portion of the pack allows me to slide in my sleeping bag and hammock and access them without digging through my bag. There is a “cup” style pouch on the side near the bottom that fits a rifle butt perfectly and allows you to strap the rifle to the side of the pack. There is a pouch in the top pack cover that is perfect for first aid supplies so you will have immediate access to the stuff you need for emergencies.

    Affordable Quality

As a former marine I have some small understanding as to the importance the quality and durability of your gear can be. I’ve been absolutely in love with this pack since it arrived and will happily say for the price you can’t beat it. I have this prestashed as a bug out bag with a hammock, sleeping bag, ifak kit, camo clothing, food, life straw filters for hydration, and ammo. All of this at last weigh in totals around 50 pounds but once you have properly fit the pack to you the weight is barely noticeable on hikes. All outstanding pack and well worth the price.
