I camped on an island for 4 days. There was already a grill grate by the fire but I used this on top of the existing grate. This is very sturdy and comes in a nice burlap bag. Leaves great grill marks and cleans up nicely I believe I’ll get years of use out of this.

Nice piece of kit
I’ve used this many times – many coffees have been made on this little grill. I like to push coals flat and lay this grill on top. I’ve also placed on top of level burning logs. When done, I use a stick to pull to the side – let it cool before touching (ask me how I know 😂). I usually only boil water on it, so I’ve not used it for serious culinary arts – LOL.If you need a simple grill that doesn’t take up much space in your pack, this might be a great choice.I’d love to see a titanium version for additional weight shaving, but this is quite acceptable for my needs.

Nothing bad to say.
I purchased it to try with my alcohol stove system.It’s not suitable for what I have as it heats up and reflect too much heat down into the burner creating and over run situation what the burner actually gets too hot and vaporizes the fuel too fast. I almost damaged the burner.None of it the fault of the well made, sturdy grate that will work fine if I find a way to raise it another inch above the burner. I’ll keep it.

Sturdy food grade for backpacking
18mile through hike with with fam. Took a couple ribeyes and filets with us but they didn’t make it back. Highly recommend this product for light to med backpacking. We’ll see how it holds up to adventure riding this summer.

Great for my gas range
I use this a lot for my gas range to make Turkish coffee. The pot would fall without it. The thing has held up pretty well with only slight warping. I try to flip it occasionally and there has been no real damage yet. I would buy it again for sure. I have not used it camping yet but I plan on it.

The grate and knife are “ok”
The metal grate looks to be sturdy enough for light use. Which is what I expected at this price point. The knife is a nice addition but probably won’t be useful for much given its size. Don’t expect to use the “cutting board” for anything. Mine came broke in half probably because the kit was mailed in an envelope. That said its bamboo and about 1/2″ thick so any pressure on it will break it. Overall it’s ok for bug out bag but definitely not bushcraft.

Versatile for backpacking or camping
Great little set for either backpacking or camping. I’ve used the grill grate with both my solo stove and around a fire ring. Cutting board is board is a nice, easy to clean addition, but the knife is more of a novelty. I would definitely recommend.

Great addition to your backpack

perfect
this is a perfect size backpacker grill for one to 2 people. I got this one because of the size being 6 inches by 12 inches which is a good size. others i have seen for sale are smaller like 4 inches by 9 inches or something like that, which is too small. I wouldnt want to go smaller than this, and if i need more i would use two. if i was driving to a campsite with a fire pit, and needed a big grill for like 4 or more people, then i would just bring a large grill plate from home.

Potable Grill and storage bag
The Grill is quality made, Very solid and light weight and perfect for backpacking or day hike excursions or fishing excursions and portability is absolutely necessary, I use a coffee can with this and put hole’s on the bottom side of the can and works extremely well. I purchased this just for the grill, The bag is a great bonus, It mentions a cutting board and knife which did not come with the grill and bag, Why it mentions the cutting board and knife I don’t know but I am happy with this grill because I need portability and lightweight for my outdoor excursions!

I thought it was way to small. Like how am I going to cook on this. I gave it a shot on a solo camping trip and it turned out to be perfect size. And worked good. It’s not non stick so need spray with butter or oil. Beyond that perfect for 1 or 2 people

Lightweight. Well made. Nice bag.
Great piece of kit. Lightweight and well made. The bag is a nice add on and helps keep it from messing up the rest of your gear. One thing I did to mine was buffed down the edges where the grill wire is tacked to the frame, they tend to be a little sharp and snag easily. Easy fix with either some light sandpaper or a deburring wheel on a grinder.

Was a little disappointed.
I got one for a new kit I’m putting together. I got my grill and was let down. On the in side we’re the hinge some of the wire was lot welded like the rest. This to is very poor quality control. Bushcraft gear needs to be quality and this fell short. I ended up giving it a buddy who is getting started in the out doors.

Lack of Quality
Cheap board. Will not be using or bothering to try.Grill is jointed together with a weak clasp, with a poor soldered job. I cut and removed them and replaced them with a hinge and a proper weld.Definitely would not recommend, seeing I had to salvage half of it to be worthy of use. Will see how the steel holds up after some actual use this year.

Worth the money and light
Best price on this type of product and made to a similar or higher quality than the other bushcraft style grills on amazon. I like it and use it to balance my pot over coals and keep ask off of it as well as make amazing s’mores. There are plenty of uses. Cover in tin foil and use as a pan or whatever floats your boat the possibilities are endless. Just be sure to GET OUT AND USE IT. The only thing this is missing is you in the woods.

What intrigued me about the model I purchased (the folding grill) was its ability to be one sized grill (6″x6″) and then unfold to become another size (6″x12″).Pros:-Simple and effective design-Overall size-Portability-Versatility-Very sturdy even when unfolded (hinges are welded)Cons:-The storage option it comes with is a cinch-style hemp burlap sack. I understand the aesthetic behind it (Bushcraft etc.) but would have liked to have seen something with a Velcro closure in a ripstop nylon, or even Cordura option. Nothing tactical, but something sturdy to stand up to the elements, and provide more adequate protection. Understanding that the cost would likely increase, depending on where it would go, I would still be on board. With all that being said, I can’t justify removing a star from their rating for that.Not a whole lot wrong with this item at all! Works great at what it’s intended for, and is currently serving me well! I would certainly recommend this to someone in the market for a lighter, more portable, camp cooking option.

Quality piece of kit
Good for single use. Not going to fit a 10oz Ribeye on it, but makes a good flat surface to grill a burger or dogs or prop it with rocks and pan fry.

Very lightweight and easy to pack
First off, let me just say that this thing is pretty small. You can fit 1 burger on each side of the grill or about 6 hotdogs per side for a total of 12.That being said, I love this thing. I’m not cooking for an army out in the woods so I didn’t need something big. I’m usually either alone or with 1 or 2 other people. This thing was perfect for me and one other person. We made 2 burgers at the same time and while we were eating those we put a bunch of hotdogs on.It feels pretty well constructed and doesn’t seem like it will break easy. The welds that hold the folding joints together look a bit sloppy, but they still look like they will hold just fine.The carrying bag has a really thin profile with the grill and cutting board inside of it so it slides inside of your pack almost effortlessly. It also weighs almost nothing.If your are looking for a grill for backpacking/camping for personal use or for 2-3 people, this thing is perfect.

Perfect for camping
Product is sturdy. Will hold a steak if properly mounted into a wood log or on top of rocks. Use it for backpack camping.

Not bad.
Sturdier material than other backpack/camping grills I have, but as a welder, I was disappointed in the minimal welds on the rings holding the pieces together. I’m hoping they hold. You also have to fiddle with it to get the two halves to lay flat and even, but it’s doable.
