    Won’t hold an edge

    If you plan on cutting dime sized green branches for less than an hour then this is the perfect axe. Anything else, don’t waste your money. I do NOT recommend this axe.

    High quality and value

    This is a great little axe to put in your camping gear. Sharp and strong, it does everything I need it to do. I was able to cut through some very dense oak trees quickly without any problem. It is durable and will stand the test of time.

     Ich bin immer etwas skeptisch wenn ich ein Produkt aus China bekomme. Dieses Mal war dies aber unbegründet.Handhabung und Material:Die Axt liegt gut in der Hand. Mit ca. 700g liegt sie im Mittelmaß was Handäxte angeht. Griff wirk solide und lässt sich gut greifen. Leider etwas zu kurz. Die Scheide ist, laut Herstellerangaben, aus Echtleder.Der Axtkopf sieht gut verarbeitet aus. Hat durch sein Gewicht eine gute Kopflast. Die Schneide ließ sich gut schärfen. Die Axt wurde aber in einer ordentlichen Grundschärfe geliefert.Der Stahl ist laut Hersteller 55HRC. Fande ihn einen Tick zu weich.Materialfehler habe ich keine erkannt.Holzarbeiten und sonstige Verwendung:Mit der Axt konnte ich problemlos oberarmdickes Holz zerkleinern. Dünneres Geäst ohne jegliche Probleme.Erstellen von Feathersticks lief problemlos.Auch das Schneiden von Gemüse wäre möglich wenn man kein anders geeignetes Werkzeug zur Verfügung hat.Die Hammerfunktion ist sinnvoll.Preis/Leistung:Im Preis/Leistungsbereich schneidet die Axt von Freelander überdurchschnittlich stark ab. Keine 40€ für ein solides Arbeitsgerät, welches auf den ersten Blick nicht die typischen Mängel aufweist, welche Produkte aus China normalerweise haben.Durch das überdurchschnittliche Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und die für mich ansprechende Optik gebe ich 5 Sterne.

    Einfach Top

    Ein super Beil mit sehr scharfer Säge. Der Griff ist sehr komfortabel und hat keine scharfen Kanten. Das Beil ist sehr stabil und für meine Zwecke im Wald super zu gebrauchen. Das einzigste was mir nicht so gefallen hat, war das das Beil in eine Folie eingewickelt war und ich mit WD40 die Reste wegputzen musste. Kann das Beil nur empfehlen 👍😁

    Tutto come da offerta. Lama sega un poco sottile ma ideale anche per diametri da 15 cm. Basta usarla con cautela.Nella somma è bilanciata, l’accetta meglio se affilarla, peccato non abbia la testa a martello.

     Ich bin positiv überrascht von dieserAxt die noch noch nicht lange auf Amazon zu kaufen gibt ! Habe für den Preis nicht erwartet doch so positiv überrascht zu sein.Zunächst einmal ist die Größe der Axt perfekt für meine Bedürfnisse. Mit einer Länge von 27 cm liegt sie gut in der Hand und ermöglicht eine präzise Handhabung. Obwohl sie kompakt ist, erfüllt sie dennoch ihre Aufgabe mit Bravour und spaltet Holz mühelos. Natürlich nicht wie eine große mit sehr großen Gewicht, dass dürfte jedem klar sein.Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist das geringe Gewicht der Axt. Mit nur 700g ist sie leicht zu handhaben und ermüdet die Hand auch bei längeren Arbeiten nicht so schnell. Das macht sie zu einem idealen Begleiter für Campingausflüge oder andere Outdoor-Aktivitäten.Die Verarbeitung der Axt wirkt für mich für dieses Geld echt super..Ich habe bereits einige Holzarbeiten mit ihr erledigt und für meine Bedürfnisse hat sie den Test bestanden.Besonders beeindruckt bin ich von der mitgelieferten Axtscheide aus Rindsleder. Sie schützt nicht nur die scharfe Schneide der Axt, sondern verleiht ihr auch einen stilvollen und rustikalen Look. Die Axtscheide ist gut verarbeitet und lässt sich einfach an der Gürtelschlaufe befestigen, sodass die Axt immer griffbereit ist.Fazit: Die Axt hat mich durch ihre kompakte Größe, ihr leichtes Gewicht und ihre hochwertige Verarbeitung überzeugt. Mit der stilvollen Axtscheide aus Rindsleder ist sie nicht nur funktional, sondern auch ein echter Hingucker. Ich bin absolut zufrieden und kann sie für diesen Preis weiterempfehlen!

    Mi aspettavo di meglio

    niente di eccezionale…la sega è quella che mi ha deluso di più fatica a tagliare sia il verde che il secco rispetto ad altre che utilizzo è poco performante anche il sistema di sbloccaggio è scomodo sarebbe stato più semplice un pulsante sul manico, l’ ascia è robusta taglia bene ma l’impugnatura di plastica si fa sentire lavorando senza guanti l’ acciarino funziona bene comodo anche l’attacco per indossarla …nel complesso è buona ma per il prezzo pagato mi aspettavo qualcosa di più.

    handliches kleines Beil für Outdooraktivitäten

    Auf der Suche nach einem stilvollen kleinen Beil zum spalten von Kleinholz für Lagerfeuer und zum groben schnitzen von Weichholz bin ich bei Amazon auf dieser Seite fündig geworden.Ich habe bewusst die etwas teurere Variante mit dem Stiel aus Walnussholz mit dem rustikalem Aussehen gewählt weil sie mir am besten gefiel.Die Lieferung war bei Amazon wie immer sehr schnell.Auspacken und los geht es zum kleinholzspalten.Was mir als negativ auffiel war die etwas wackelige Einstielung des Beils und eine Außermittige Befestigung des Stiels im Axtkopf. Den Axtkopf habe ich nun durch das Eintreiben von zwei kleineren Querkeilen ordentlich befestigen können. Für den Hersteller würde ich anregen den Beilstiel vor der Befestigung mit Längs und Querkeil vorher mit einem geeigneten Kleber einzukleben. Bei der Schmiedearbeit stürz mich hauptsächlichst die Außermittige Befestigung des Beilstieles. Da könnte vielleicht noch etwas nachgebessert werden.Zur Pflege des Axtkopfes verwende ich Ballistol Universalöl und für den Beilstiel Schaftöl der Firma Ostermann. Es wäre aber auch möglich einfach Leinöl für die Holzpflege zu verwenden.Den Axtkopfrücken würde ich persönlich nicht als Hanmmer verwenden und zum Holzspalten würde ich auch niemals mit einem Schlosserhammer auf den Axtkopfrücken schlagen sondern nur mit einem Gummihammer oder einem Holzscheit.Fazit : Axtkopfgeometrie und Einstielung sind mittelmäßig, deshalb habe ich auch einen Stern in meiner Bewertung abgezogen.Grundschärfe und die Güte des verwendeten Stahls sind gut.Preis Leistungsverhältnis :das Beil mit seinem urigem Aussehen kann sich sehen lassen und schlägt bei mir die anderen Hersteller bei denen man wesentlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen müsste.Über die Langlebigkeit bei guter Pflege kann ich hier leider noch nichts sagen, ich hoffe aber das ich das Beil einmal meinen Enkelkindern weiter vererben kann.

    Preis/Leistung ok, kann man machen

    Wer hier das Non Plus Ultra Tool erwartet, der ist falsch. Für diesen Preis, bekommt man aber was, womit man sich doch abhelfen kann.Beil ist erstaunlich Scharf, wirklich gut ausgelotetund hat auch mehrere Eichenklötze gehalten. Ich kann mir nur nicht vorstellen das es noch lange so bleibt, da der Kopf nur über 3 Schrauben befestigt ist. Man sollte allerdings Handschuhe tragen, da der wirklich unglaublich billig, scharfkantig und schlecht verarbeitete Griff dir die Hände zerfetzen wird. Entweder wenn der knüppelharte Kunstoff Berater oder die Scharfen Kanten sich in dein Fleisch schneiden. Was mich sonst aber noch erstaunt hat, ist die Säge. Sie ist zwar nicht sonderlich groß, aber 10cm Äste sind kein Problem, da die Zähne wiederum erstaunlich scharf sind. Sie ist sogar ganz gut gesichert, so dass man 2 Hände braucht um sie aus zuklappen. Man sollte nur aufpassen nicht zu viel Druck auszuüben mMn.Der Feuerstahl ist nen 0815 Billigteil, was zwar nach ner Zeit Funken wirft, aber es muss Furz trockener Zünder sein, sonst hat man keine Chance im Gegensatz zu einem ordentlichen Feuerstahl.Die Halterung ist aus Kunststoff, kann am Gürtel befestigt werden(die Klammer ist sogar Metal), mich stört es aber sehr so ein Teil am Bein zu haben. Zudem ist der Mechanismus mMn nicht zum einhandigen öffnen vorteilhaft.Im großen und ganzen kann man sagen:Man bekommt das was man für diesen Preis was man erwarten kann, mit kleinen ah’s und ob’s. Ob man solch ein Produkt wirklich benötigt muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.

     Die Freelancer Survival Axt 5-in-1, mit Säge, Feuersplint und Pfeife wird in einer edlen, schwarzen Geschenkverpackung geliefert.Die Axt macht einen soliden und gut verarbeiteten Eindruck.Die Klinge der Axt und der Säge haben eine gute Grundschärfe mit der man gut arbeiten kann.Die Axt ist 34 cm lang und wiegt 800g.Klein und kompakt, ist diese Multifunktionsaxt von Freelander, ein perfekter Begleiter im Outdoorbereich.Ich kann dieses Produkt bedenkenlos weiter empfehlen!

    Schön und praktisch

    Ich gehe wandern, Radfahren oder fahre mit dem Zug in mein Camp.Für jeden Zweck habe ich das “richtige Werkzeug.Viel mache ich dabei vom Gewicht und die Art der Arbeit die ich erledigen will abhängig.Diese kleine Axt scheint robust zu sein, macht ihre Arbeit bis jetzt gut, liegt bei mir toll in der Hand und sieht auch noch schön aus.Also für kleiner Arbeiten im Camp ist sie super.Vom Gewicht her nutze ich andere Äxte wenn ich zum Camp wandere.Da ist sie mir zu schwer.Bin gespannt wie sie sich in Zukunft macht.

    Bloß nicht daneben hauen

    Im Grunde kann man für den Preis nichts sagen. Sie tut erstmal was sie soll. Aber achtet man einmal nicht darauf die Axt nur “leicht” in das Holz zu treiben, und kommt auf einen härteren Untergrund, sind direkt dicke Kerben in der Axt. Ich meine nicht solche die man wegschleifen könnte, sondern es schaut so aus als wenn das Material zu weich ist. Wird leider nicht lange leben denn ich kann keine paar mm wegschleifen von der Axt.

    I didn’t need another hatchet but this thing was just so cool looking. I’m glad I got it!! The craftsmanship, finish, and heft are very impressive. Pretty enough to hang on the wall for decoration. Functional enough to get to work with…pretty awesome buy.

    Meh, I have the knowhow to make it better

    So this is a solid little axe , and I will keep it, however the craftsmanship is questionable. The head was not properly aligned when forged( skews to the left of center, with a twist) which is pretty odd. I’m going to have and spend some time filing this twist out as much as I can, but it will work for my needs. Also, the description says it’s hardened steel, and I hope so, but if it is DO NOT use the hammer side on other steel! Hammer steel should be non tempere, like a maul head. I may heat cycle the back hammer edge a little bit to remove any potential tempering for this reason. The axe head design is a good design,but out of the box it was very dull so expect to spend time time sharpening this, dull tools are dangerous tools. Best of luck. The leather scabbard is good leather, I am a hobby leatherworker, the scbbbard is a heavy/ thick leather, with a good snap and edge spacer, I may unstitch the scabbard, tool the leather, add on a belt loop, and restitch it together again as its that good a scabbard. The sharpening stone is no good, except in a dire pinch( use your own files/ stones). Be well

    Can’t get a better deal!!! awesome Hatchet!!!

    This mini hatchet is phenomenal! Came very sharp with a edge that can be easily honed to a razors edge! This product is in the gold vein of a Gransfors Bruk design. The price is right! Compared to a axe from Gransfors costing 4x as much. The steel holds an edge fairly well! And can be resharpen right back after the days done. I am so pleased with this item. Very good sheath with a center welt! Even comes with a sharpening stone and 2 extra wedge’s if you ever would need them. The only thing I found wrong was that the wood grain was the wrong direction ( but for how much force the axe handle would need to split the handle is negotiable if it can even be done by man ) rest assured this is a good purchase!! The handle was set properly with no spaces around the head. This hatchet is designed for limbing, splitting small logs , hammering ,carving and doing about 90% of bushcraft projects. You can choke up on this baby and carve with great accuracy and control! I bought a leather strike protector ( Amazon for 15.00 ) and this axe is now turning heads at the camp grounds and at my Bushcraft club.

    Better than beavercraft!

    I purchased the beavercraft craft axe at the same time as this purchase. This hatchet is so much better in quality and form. I had to spend hours with an axe file to correct the blade profile on the beavercraft. This Freelander came perfect out of the box. I may touch the blade up with a puck but no major changes are needed. The handle and blade are perfectly centered and profiled. If you are looking for a small craft axe to play around with, this is the one. I wish I had gotten two of these instead of spending more money and getting the Beavercraft model, which is taking a lot of time to correct.

    Nice woodworking hatchet, but broke during 2nd use!

    edit – the seller sent me a replacement since my handle broke, and this one seems to be holding up well. I have used it several times with no issues. The forged head had a good edge on it, but some basic sharpening made it even better and it has held the edge well. I’ve increased my rating to 4 stars. The handle is a little too thick for my comfort (mens size L glove) and made my hand tire more quickly. I did do some shaping of the handle, which has helped some.This is actually a pretty good value. Nice forged head and decent handle. However, the handle broke off inside the head while I was working on a bowl. This was only the second time using it, and I didn’t ever have any overstrikes.

    Pretty decent hatchet….

    Echt vielseitig und wirklich gut!

     Ich habe die Axt mal richtig getestet und muss sagen, die ist wirklich gut.Es ist keine Spaltaxt aber im Video sieht man ja wie vielseitig das Gerät ist!Die säge sägt wirklich gut und ist fast so schnell wie meine Bahco Laplander. Allerdings ist die Säge-Ergonimie etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber wenn man den Dreh raus hat sägt die echt gut.Der Axtkopf ist schön scharf und kann aber noch erheblich schärfer gemacht werden. Aber wofür? Es ist ein Schlagwerkzeug, so wie sie ist reicht es für kleine Feathersticks. Das Gewicht ist sehr ausgewogen und fühlt sich sehr stimmig in der Hand an. Der Griff ist zwar auf Kunststoff aber hält echt viel aus. Das Axt werfen ging sehr häufig schief und es ist nichts davon zu sehen.Der Feuerstahl ist nicht soo zu gebrauchen aber in der Not wesentlich besser als nichts.Fazit: Die Säge und die Axt sind top!

    Sehr unterschiedliche Artikel, Scheide wirkt künstlich, Schneide schief

    Zunächst mal vorweg, ich hab die Axt weniger für die Praxis und mehr fürs Auge bestellt. Passend zu einem geschichtlichen Kostüm.Sie liegt allerdings sehr sehr gut in der Hand wie ich finde. Der Griff ist nicht zu schmal und nicht zu dick und wie ich finde super geformt. Ich trage Handschuhgröße 8.Ich kaufte das Beil weil mein Bekannter das Gleiche hat. Naja, das Gleiche in Anführungszeichen. Sein Holzgriff ist nicht ansatzweise so schön wie meiner, was mir zu Gute kommt und auch ein Grund ist, oder der Hauptgrund, warum ich sie vermutlich behalte.Dazu hatte mein Kumpel einen Schleifstein in seinem Karton, diesen gab es bei mir gar nicht.Mein Exemplar kam auch nur in einer Tüte. Kann ich mit leben. Aber viele schreiben hier von besagtem Schleifstein und scheinbar ist er nicht immer dabei.Nundenn. Der Stahl ist sehr, naja, nennen wir es rustikal verarbeitet. Man sieht deutschliche Hammerspuren, was ich aber ok finde. Er klebt wie sau und war separat mit Folie eingepackt. Ich weiß nicht ob das das schwarze ist und nur eine Art Farbe die bald abgeht oder warum das klebt, muss ich beobachten.Leider ist meine Schneide auch alles andere als Gerade. Hoffe man erkennt das auf dem Foto.Das schlimmste aber, meiner Meinung nach. Ist die Scheide. Sie soll aus Leder sein, kann sein, aber so knüppelhartes Leder hab ich bisher nie gesehen. Dazu die Farbe. Rotbraun, mehr rot als braun. Sieht total künstlich nach Plastik aus. Kommt auf dem Bild nicht ganz rüber, aber einfach grauslich. Passt überhaupt nicht zur eigentlich tollen rustikalen Optik des Beils. Sehr sehr schade. Macht das Gesamtbild sehr kaputt und kann eigentlich nicht zusammen getragen werden. Ein einfaches Schwarzes oder wirklich dunkelbraunes wäre um Längen besser gewesen.Nunja. Ich gebe 3, nein doch nur 2 Sterne. 2,5 geht ja leider nicht. Aber für 47 Euro nicht gut genug verarbeitet finde ich.

    Petty good for the price if you need a super compact axe.

    The head is purposely left pitted to give it a more rustic hand forged look so it will need some extra care to prevent corrosion and the handle appears to be stained but is definitely not sealed. Both are fairly easily remedied so not a turn off. For the price it is definitely worth considering.

    Great feel

    For the cost this is a great camp hatchet I used it on my Yellowstone trip and it was great. The head came loose a smidge but easily tapped back in. Great design and it was super sharp so watch those digits

    Purchased for myself

    Wanted a high quality bushcraft hatchet, took me awhile but this is one great design that I’ve been looking for. With arthritis this allows me to choke up on the handle and get more leverage to do chores.

    Roughly done

    Received the hatchet and liked the weight and finish on the handle and the head. It arrived pretty dull and upon a quick inspection, the grind of the blade is very off. There was a small amount of cracking in the wood near the plug, but seems sturdy. The eye of the axe is also grossly misaligned. Will it chop? Yes, but the original edge and the misalignment makes it slightly more of a chore. Didn’t pay that much, but compared to, say, the Husqvarna axe you are trading something that looks more traditional and bad QC for something that looks more run of the mill in case of the Husqvarna but is better quality.

    Great hatched, nice sized and SHARP!!!!

    Bought this to carry on my belt in a belt axe holder for tooling around in the woods. Axe is SHARP, it cut through the blade protector that fits over blade before the leather blade cover. For the price it is worth it. Will be buying more for the kids.

    Great camp and carving axe.

    The Freelander camp axe is made of a very good quality metal. The head was well made and the handle was hafted perfectly. Great camp axe and small carving axe.

    Quality customer support is top drawer. I like the quality of the axe head. razor sharp.

    I have had this hatchet for a couple weeks and used yesterday for the first time splitting cedar kindling and the head came loose. I like the head, it was razor sharp out of the box. so I guess I’m in the market for a quality handle.

    Not returning it. Had real tough time releasing the saw.

    Very difficult pushing release tabe to open the saw. Had to use channel lock pliers to get the saw to come out and go back in.

    Sadly disappointing

    I really wanted to love this hatchet. I initially bought 2 to compare the quality. Of the two, one clearly had some fitment issues and appeared to have some wood filler used to secure the head since the handle had been over sanded; that one got sent back immediately. The 2nd one actually looked really nice and promising. It looked it was going to be a great deal for the price. Unfortunately, this hatchet when used on a recent camping trip survived maybe 10 strikes before the head broke off from the shock of impact (no the handle did not make contact). This was really disappointing and rendered useless from that point on. Overall, it had potential, but quality issues make this a gamble at best.

    Very well made!

    I was very pleased with the quality of this hand hatchet. Especially for the $$$$ spent! Good quality steel imo from all I can determine. Comfortable handle and a super nice presentation in relation to the packaging. Nice quality sheath also! A Winner!
