4 Stars for Affordability
The media could not be loaded.
This fan actually feels quite cheap. I’m not sure how well the plastic will hold up to accidental drops or abuse. The fan is quiet at low speed, and relatively quiet at the highest speed. However, the 3rd speed has an annoying vibration sound. It moves a comparable amount of air to other camping fans of this size. I haven’t tried it on D size batteries, but it works fine with USB power. I’m really giving this 4-stars because of the value. It’s extremely affordable for those on a budget.

Great for camping! I used it inside my roof top tent and it made sleeping at night on a hot night so comfortable. The remote control is such a nice and convenient feature.

Dual Power Fan w/ remote
This is perfect for rustic camping where you don’t have easy access to power to recharge the built in battery. I like that I can pack extra D batteries so I don’t have to worry about running out of charge while camping but can keep it charged when I’m near a power source to save on D batteries.

Works perfectly. Great value camping fan!
We picked this up for car camping to use inside our truck camper. We found that we could mount it up on a shelf over our bed out of the way and the full remote allowed us to operate it from the convenience of our bed! The materials are very heavy duty and you can run the fan from a USB power supply. Makes a great white noise which is perfect for camping, and last but not least, the remote control also controls the built-in light! Hung overhead, this was perfect for us!Overall, VERY happy with this fan. It’s got everything we wanted… battery option, USB powered, remote control…and also has a light feature as well!Love it! Highly recommended!

Battery operated
This portable fan can operate on actually batteries. No charging and recharging. This function makes it great to use on our camping trips. It has three different fan speed functions, a light, and a remote. A good product that has helped us keep air circulating in our travel trailer.

It is a great little fan
Made with ABS impact resistant plastic. The battery door is thinner than the rest of the fan and could break. I own lots of things that will break if I drop them. Less than 30 dB, it sounds like a fan on high. Low speed is a nice breeze for sleeping. I have three otter box at 8000mhA that need to be periodically cycled for good battery health. If this unit had a included battery powerful enough to run for a useable length of time it would cost more than double. I can store this indefinitely without worrying about battery deterioration or fire. USB is everywhere. It could be suspended from 3 points with paracord or with self adhesive hooks. Two level light is bright enough to read with. There is no feasible way to clean the blades but they don’t stay clean long anyway and only hold so much dirt.

A great fan for when the electricity goes off.
I took this with me when we went to visit my wife’s family in the Philippines. Although we have aircon in our bedroom, the electrical service is hit-or-miss. During our 2 weeks there, we lost power at least four times at night. It sure was nice to have a breeze to keep us cool so we can sleep!Very handy device.

Fantastic, hardy, and high quality fan for every adventure
This FRIZCOL Battery Operated Fan is a fantastic find! Here’s why I love it:Power Options: Love the flexibility! The D-cell battery option is perfect for extended outdoor trips or emergency power outages, while the USB power is great for daily use at my desk or plugged into a power bank.Performance: Seriously strong airflow, with four speeds to customize the breeze. It’s even surprisingly quiet for the power it delivers.Features: The built-in light with two brightness levels was a lifesaver on a recent camping trip. Timer is also really handy for falling asleep with a cool breeze.Sturdy: This thing feels solid. Dropped it once (oops!) and it survived without a scratch.Bottom Line: Whether I’m camping, facing a power outage, or just need some extra airflow at my desk, the FRIZCOL fan has me covered. If you’re looking for a reliable, versatile fan that packs a punch, this is a great option.

Great for car camping
I got this because I needed a fan that could be used with a battery bank but also be taken on a plane or shipped if needed when I’m traveling. I opted for this instead of the rechargeable fans. I love that I can use this in my car when it’s hot. It works well and is very durable. I’m happy with what I purchased and am considering getting another.

Long lasting
I usually don’t do reviews. However I wanted to leave one on this for anyone looking for a good camping fan when electricity is not a option. A lot of reviews really didn’t touch on how long it would last. I am on day 5 of my primitive camping trip with no electricity. This ran has ran on high for 4 nights straight and still going strong without a battery change. It has ran 6 to 8 hours each night. I’m using the Kingcell batteries I got here on Amazon. The amount of air flow it puts out is good if you place it next to you in your tent. Also contrary to some reviews, the light is bright enough to light up your tent. I didn’t bother with the remote, so I can’t comment on that. So if you’re looking for a good tent fan that won’t break the bank, get this one.

It works and pushes that sweet sweet air
This fan does the job it was meant for. Noise depending on your setting can be pretty quite to being loud but not chainsaw loud. I just wouldn’t put it on high trying to sleep. Battery life varies depending of course on your settings. If you keep it on the low setting it could possibly last a good while depending on batteries. I used harbor freight cheapies and got a 13 hr juice out of em. High got me 4 hrs. Which brings me to the negite and why it lost a star. Battery life for at least my unit wasn’t what I was expecting. I also have chargeable version that of course is way more expensive but it has lasted literally 45 hrs before even getting to the lowest battery led. But that’s the difference from a $20 vs 50 item. All in all i would buy this item again for a cheap alternative.

SUVO = 4.8 at $10 – FRIZCOL Battery Operated Fan – 2024-03-02 Sat 1745
Simplicity = HighUtility = HighValue = HighOverall = 4.8 at $10 or less. This is a relatively simple fan. You can run it directly with the USB-C cable, or install 4 size D batteries. Buttons are well-labeled and intuitive. Unit has all controls as well as remote. USB-C cable (included) means no worries of which way to plug it in – every way is the right way. It does not remember your last setting when powered off. It defaults on at low. Turning off requires cycling through 3 more levels to get to off. Instructions helpful but not necessary to be up and running.Utility is high. This is a high-performance, simple fan for all daily and emergency uses. The four power levels work great for anything from a light breeze to a bit of stormy weather. At levels 1 and 2, it is very quiet. These are best for sleeping nearby. Levels 3 and 4 are quiet enough for daytime use while you are working on a task.Unique to a good fan, especially at this price, is a light. This gives it GoBag emergency approval. The two levels are practical, with high being relatively bright. The ability to run on D-Batteries makes this ideal when using for camping or otherwise off the grid. When depleted, you can pop in fresh ones and keep going. Recommend Eneloop as they do no leak, and can be reused hundreds of times. The remote control performs all functions on the fan. If you loose it, you can still run the fan from its own buttons. This buys you years into the future – because you know you will loose the tiny remote. It does have a very unique feature – a large lanyard hole coming off this side. This is a serious design that can last many years if you simply put some paracord through it for a handle or keychain attachment. It nice that it works with no batteries at all – just plugging into any USB-A port for daily use.The up-down rotation is grade-A professional – true mechanical tension instead of cheap plastic friction. The battery cover is heavy-duty, and latches closed very solid. Nice touch to an often forgotten but critical part. The USB-C cable that is included is extremely short at about 1 foot.Excellent uses – keeping you cool in the kitchen; calming you at a stressful work environment with poor air flow; Making you comfortable in your summertime inferno-of-a-car before your AC really gets cold; adding to your enormous fan collection.Value is extremely high at $10 or less. This is great-value fan that will help keep your cool.

Decent portable fan, but could be better.
The fan works as advertised, using 4 D batteries it provides a decent amount of airflow at its highest speed. The problem I have with it is the fan blades take up maybe 60% of the housing space, and theres a whole 1 inch of space remaining in depth for the fan housing. The fan blades could be much larger, moving much more volume of air, if it utilized most of the housing space available to it.Compared to other portable fans like the Ryobi or Milwaukee this moves a lot less air, but the voltage from the battery is much lower (i believe its running the d batteries in series making it 6 volts) which could be a limitation however ive seen many PC fans that use 5v and could achieve thousands of rpm.The downside of the ryobi and milwaukee or other tool brand fans is that you are forced to use their batteries. Once all of them are dead you have no way to power them. So using them in a prolonged power outage is not possible, I think that’s where this fan shines as it has replaceable D batteries which isn’t reliant on any proprietary battery or charger. The light bar on the top is actually pretty bright, easily lights up a dark room or a large tent. The remote only works if you aim directly towards the IR receiver, if you try using it at any angle it will not work. I think using a plastic reflector could fix this by widening the field of view for the IR LED.

POWERFUL FAN FOR SIZE!
PROS:- It is a decent size for a portable fan – not too small or too bulky.- It has fan 4 speeds & number 4 is FAR stronger than the small office fans that you plug in – very happy with that!- There is a 1 / 3 / 5 hour shut off too. I tested the 1hr & it worked. I will rarely use this feature.- It is NOT loud.- Has a remote.- The fan tilts up & down (ONLY)- I like that it has internal batteries BUT…. read the CONS section….CONS:- … I do not like that it requires 4 D batteries, would have been nice to take 3 just for cost purposes… AND it would have been AWESOME to have had the batteries as a BACKUP & NOT main source when used portable. It would have been neat to have an internal battery that you could charge & then once died… you could swap to the batteries.- The light on it, 2 brightness settings, is pretty pathetic. It is also a warm light, not a cool light – which I hate. I also will highly unlikely use this feature due to that issue.- The remote does not have a very long range it seems – max distance it worked for me was about 6ft.- There is no little storage area to put the remote with the fan, so you obviously have to keep track of it & it is very small.- The USB cable it comes with is SUPER short… like 2ft kinda short. I did not measure it but I would be surprised if it was even 3ft. BTW, does not come with plug – I knew this and was not a problem but just a reminder.- I have a similar internal battery fan that has the feature of the fan being able to move up/down & swivel… this one does not swivel and that is a bit of a pet peeve because if you are in a tight spot, you have to move stuff out of the way to move the entire unit.OVERALL:I would recommend this fan – especially at the price point, WELL worth it.

Useful outdoor/camping companion with limited fan positioning
Ordered this very useful camping fan from Amazon, arrived very quickly in a secure box. Out of the packaging I received a black, plastic fan, a user manual, an infrared remote control, and a short Type C to USB A cable. I did not receive any batteries. Fan is nicely made, with a small 2 stage brightness LED light on top. USB cable is short, I wish it was 6ft+, short USB cable limits the usage. Remote control works as expected, very small, unfortunately fan doesn’t have any storage for the remote, you can use a piece of velcro to keep it attached to the side of the fan. It works without the batteries directly connected to a wall outlet with a USB charger or power bank. You can also use 4 D batteries, according to user manual they should last 200 hours. Movement of the fan is limited, it has 45 degree angle movement for up and down movement only, no left/right movement capability. I wish this fan had 360 movement to be able to suspend from the top of the tent to use it for cooling and lighting. There are four buttons in the front bottom panel. Button for auto shut off, 1 hour, 3 hours, 5 hours, button for LED for 2 stage brightness, button to turn off the blue LED button lights for night time use and a fan speed button from 1-4 speed. It’s powerful and quiet fan, works really good. LED light is bright enough. I gave three stars to this fan because of the limited fan directional setup and movement, also there is no mounting options for tent, wall or ceiling mount.

USB Powered is nice, don’t have D batteries to test battery life
Pretty strong fan for the size, although it’s a little unstable on the base with no D batteries in it. Controls are nice, sleep mode is a sweet addition for camping if you don’t want to drain your battery source completely while falling asleep. This will be a nice addition when I’m sleeping in a tent or in my car this spring / summer.I also like the tall skinny form factor as that makes it easier to prop this up on a window sill. Great little unit, although the D battery space in the bottom takes up space that feels pretty outdated (who uses D batteries still?) There is also a version of this with a built-in lithium battery but I’m glad I got this one without. Don’t need another lithium battery to maintain when I already have power banks.

A really decent small fan!
This fan exceeded my expectations! I didn’t think it would be quite as good as it is. I got this because we live in Las Vegas where it gets pretty warm during the summer an often the neighborhood I live in will lose power for a few hours at a time, several times a year. Sometimes this happens during the night when it would be inconvenient for me to just head somewhere else. Because this takes batteries as well as a C cord I won’t have to suffer quite so much the next time our power goes out. I have already put aside several D batteries for the future. It has different levels of how much air it blows, the light for the buttons can be on or off, there is a timer and also a light!!!

Solid Portable Fan for the Price
I cannot believe the low price on this compared to its quality. It feels like a solid little portable box fan. It has a power button which controls if it will be on low, medium, high. It has timer settings so it can be automatically shut down at your convenience. It also has a light on it with 2 intensity settings. Great for camping or just to have around the house to set at a desk or anywhere you might need it.It does take 4 D-Sized batteries if you have nothing to plug in to for power. However, it is not necessary if you want to just use the USB cable and power block to power it up. It does not hold a charge and is powered by only one of those two ways.Overall, I am pleased. I am a soccer parent and will love having this available for the hot days!

Perfect for Me
I needed a new fan to put on my dog’s kennel as our previous fan was stolen (ugh). This fan works just great and is the perfect size for his kennel. Most of the camping fans are rechargeable which I ultimately don’t like because there is a point at which they no longer charge. I LOVE that this one uses D batteries or plugs into the wall instead of being rechargeable. This fan works as a fan should! It moves a good deal of air for its size. The lights work fine (not a huge concern but relevant that they work) but aren’t super bright. As in, enough to see, not enough to read by. Haven’t messed with the timer because when it is turned on, it just needs to be ON. The remote works fine, though I prefer using the buttons because I don’t need another remote knocking around my house. That’s it! You’ll have to get your own wall adapter for the USB cable, but this is far from a five star breaker for me.

Very Nice Portable Fan
I’m blessed to have recently bought a boat. I wanted to have a portable fan that ran on batteries to use on deck to help keep things cool when not under way.The Frizcol Store battery operated fan was just what I was looking for. This fan runs on four D batteries or a USB cord from an AC outlet or power bank. That makes this fan perfect for inside or outside use. It also has LED lights if needed, four fan settings, and three timers. This fan is great as it puts out a strong air current and is fully adjustable.

This fan is a lot smaller then expected but wow ! This little thing is powerful ! It has 4 speeds and works great. For such a small fan it gives the cooling power of my bigger fans and it’s not as loud. The lowest settings are very quiet . Perfect for sleeping . It has 3 different timers . I set one at night. It comes with a usb cable or you can use 4 D batteries . I love that it has a remote control with it and it is very small and easy to use.Another great feature is the LED light ! It has two different brightness levels and it is bright !

The perfect camping companion
This Battery Operated Fan is great for camping trips. I love the dual options of D batteries or USB power. It is surprisingly powerful for its size, providing a good amount of airflow. The built-in light is a fantastic addition, especially when trying to find things in the tent at night. Definitely recommend this one.

Gets the job done
Works with 4 D cell batteries or direct USB-C cable. Not much airflow even at highest setting, I was expecting more airflow from the size of this fan, perhaps the motor is very small and has no torque. Not worth it.

Pretty basic, and kind of annoying, but powerful!
i didn’t read into this and assumed it would pivot and rotate, i was only 1/2 right, it pivots, but no angle rotation.i also figured it was powered by a battery pack, and its not, its powered by D Cell batteries. :/the fan DOES push a lot of air, but i worry about longevity of the batteries running a fan for a while daily.that only time will tell. it SAYS 200hours, but i somehow doubt it. I’ve had smaller ones last less than that.

Nice little fan
This fan will be great in the hot Texas sun. I love the timer options and the variety of speeds. It makes noise, but nothing crazy, so I’ll have no hesitation bringing it to game days in the stands. Not rechargeable
The information mentions using this fan/light during power outages and for camping. It should be noted that unless you want to go with the D battery option, you will need a power bank or a wall outlet. It does not contain a rechargeable battery that you can just charge and go. For the price, I wouldn’t expect it.The fan has some nice features like a light, timer, sleep mode and four fan speeds. The fan surprisingly pushes a good amount of air even on speeds two and three. The tilt is limited however. The build looks rugged and ready for the outdoors, yet feels cheap. There again, can’t really complain for the price. It comes with a remote which makes adjustment convenient. Even better would be a place to store it on the fan since it’s tiny and will be lost easily. I suppose the battery compartment is an option. It also states in the information you can hang it. I don’t know how you would do that since there’s no hook. There’s not even an open handle to carry it around.I tried connecting it to a cheap power bank you’d use to charge your phone. On the lowest fan setting, it was going through one percent a minute. About same for the light so you’d definitely have to carry something beefier like a portable power station to run it for long term. All in all, it’s not a bad little appliance and you could buy several and not break the bank.

Works as expected
This unit is a reasonably portable size and has a sold, rather large base (sized to contain the D batteries). It has decent air movement and 3 different speed setting. As things are migrating to high capacity, rechargeable batteries, this uses 4 D batteries to power it. It does make it heavier than other units, but not an issue for what I bought it for. The remote is a nice touch, but it’s always in reach so I don’t have much of a use for it. If it was put in a more inaccessible location, the remote option is fantastic. The option to power it from a USBC cord is a nice touch and what I opt to use since it sits on my desk, plus D batteries have gotten crazy expensive. Nice fan for the price

Quiet and powerful
The only reason I give this fan 4 stars instead of 5 is because it requires 6 C batteries to be cordless. I guess I didn’t read the details correctly because I was expecting a rechargeable fan. It does run with a USB cord so you could also use a USB power bank . It does also run while plugged in with the USB cord. Other than that this fan is extremely quiet even on the highest setting. It moves a good amount of air and while I use it in my garage/art studio I can easily see this fan keeping a tent very cool. The light is bright enough to read by and would illuminate a tent nicely. The remote control is very small and you will have to have a safe keeping place for it or is could easily be lost. For the most part I am pleased with it, just wish I read the description a little better.

Efficient, portable and dual power mode
I found the FRIZCOL fan has all the features of higher prices fans. It comes with timer option, 4 speed setting, LED light with two selectable intensities and even had option to turn off the LED status if desired.I am using this fan indoor to circulate the air inside my small home office. Although the design allows you to use outdoor like camping or picnic events.Pros:• Light but stable• Good airflow for its size (4 speed settings)• Low power consumption (important when operating on the batteries or power bank)• Dual power mode (operates using 4xD batteries or through AC or power bank using a USB-C cable).• Quite operation• 3 timer settings (1, 3 and 5 hours)Cons:• The included USB C cable is short.• No AC adaptor for the USBOverall, this is good portable fan for indoor and outdoor use that cost less than $10. Recommended.

Works
Works. Can be portable but you need batteries. D cell batteries. Other wise it has to be plugged up to work. Will be great to have on our next camping trip.

At This Price – Can’t Complain

I have a couple of these that are a little bit nicer for a couple of reasons that I will point out but at this price point I wanted to give this one a try. Let me start by saying that you need to be sure that you know that this one is not rechargeable; it is either USB powered or by four D batteries. This is one of the points that makes this one less expensive than my other ones but could be a major issue for anyone who wants to take it with them to a spot without power. I know from a lifetime of experience that you will go through MANY batteries if you go that route but at this price, I guess it should be expected. A second point is that this one doesn’t have as much tilt and none of the side-to-side articulation that my other fans have – again, I did pay more for them. The light works pretty well and is fairly bright even on the lower setting so that’s a plus. The fan itself work quite well giving you a fair amount of air even at the lowest setting while at the same time not being super loud or distracting. So, my general opinion is that at this price point you really are going to have a difficult time finding a better option if you are looking for a cheap fan that does its job well. Just keep in mind that this is NOT a rechargeable fan and if you go battery you will eat through them.

Great fan for the price
This fan comes with a nice assortment of features. It has a light with two brightness modes, 4 different strength settings for the fan, USB power or a D battery option. The fan has adequate strength, but on the highest setting, it is a bit loud. The USB cable included is far too short to be useful. It would be nice if it had an AC adapter option.

Good functional fan

The fan arrived as indicated on the product page. It’s just under 9″. It’s a decent portable fan. It runs on four D cell batteries which aren’t included. Alternatively a USB C to A cord comes with the fan. There is no block included for it.The separate but included remote controls the same settings as the front panel buttons directly on the fan. Either way there is the power button, the fan speed button of which there are four speeds. There is a light level button of which there are three levels. There is also a timer button of which there are three different timers. There’s even a button that allows you to turn off the small bright blue light that shows on the front of the fan. That’s great if you like to sleep in complete darkness. The fan has a nice output of air but I find I need to put it relatively close to me because of the fan size. You might like it further away. It makes just enough noise to provide good white noise. This can be beneficial for those trips when you’d like to cover up unfamiliar sounds. We are going to take it with us on road trips and to go camping. It’s the perfect size for our tent and hotel rooms. I like it and It appears to be good quality. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Awesome Battery Operated Fan
Awesome Battery Operated Fan. I like the look of the fan. I love that it’s battery powered and not another rechargeable item only. It’s the perfect size. It’s strong and durable. It’s pretty quiet too. The remote control is definitely a plus. It puts out quite a bit of air. Great deal for the price.

Light and Portable
The FRIZCOL Battery Operated Fan [200H Max] Portable Camping Fan with 4 Speed — This is a light and simple camping fan that has 2 options for power source, the D size batteries and a charger. I have a 330W power station with solar and will also bring the D batteries as a backup. You can move the fan to face upward at a different angle. Remote is good to turn on/off and put on light and timer. Will be going with us camping.

Summer is coming
Even though this portable fan uses 4 D size batteries, it can also uses regular electrical power. I keep the batteries in to provide some weight to the fan otherwise the fan is a bit light weight. It blows enough wind to cool down a bedroom at night and is quiet. Good quality construction and fast shipping.

Pretty good fan especially considering the low price !

I like that this fan can either run off of “D” size batteries or via a USB connection and I tried it using rechargeable “D” size batteries and it worked fine so I don’t have to worry about having to keep buying batteries so often. The remote is a nice plus and I like that it has a timer so if you use it for when you are getting ready to sleep you don’t have to worry about it keeping running longer than you need it at the time. The included built-in light is a neat addition too.The breeze is about what I would expect for a smaller sized fan, obviously not as good as a big plug-in box fan, but good enough to help you stay cooler if you keep it within a reasonable distance from you.The low price makes it a pretty good value with all the features it has !

Feature packed fan.

This is a really nice fan. Better than I expected. The size is perfect. Not a little 4″ and not too big, about 9″ wide overall. It has a good solid base, large enough to hold 4 D size batteries. It has 4 speeds plus a two level light bar on top front. The remote allows access to all features. It has speed, night mode to turn off lights, a timer feature, and the two level light bar. It works with or without the batteries if you connect a USB cable. It really moves the air. You can feel it always across my living room 16′ away.

Doesn’t recharge using USB & PowerBank; cheap plastic case; noisy; weak airflow
I really wanted to like this product. Our household already uses a number of different types and sizes of fans that can be charged and recharged via USB connection to a power bank or outlet. This has a slightly larger circumference on the face, which we thought would make for a greater airflow (especially given four choices) than many of the smaller width fans we use around the house for spot airflow. However the cons, in my opinion, outweigh the pros.Pros:>Remote control>Option to use batteries>Handle is self-contained (cutout space on back of top)>You can program to run for 1, 3 and 5 hours>Two-level light at top of unit; it is VERY BRIGHT.>Comes with a USB-C cordCons:>Flimsy casing (plastic is cheap and looks as if it would chip or break apart if it fell from any height)>Does not recharge via USB and power bank/outlet connection (Major flaw; I tested using three different working power banks and one wall outlet charger. NOTHING happened over several hours.)>Only works consistently with batteries (which are heavy) in place.>Noisy; noticeable and annoying at level #3 (Level #4 does not work on the unit I received.)>Airflow is not all that strong and the unit shuts off at Level #4 and does not work at all>Top/Bottom tilt is very limited>No way to remove grill and clean interior. You would need some way to propel the dirt out. These things get dirty very quickly indoors, let alone when used outdoors.>Remote is tiny and could easily be lost (like that it has a hole on the top side so you can add a cord to hang it from but it would be better if it could be stored inside the unit as is the case with other fans using a remote.)If the ability to charge/recharge via USB worked, I would say that despite the other cons, it might be a good value for selective use outdoors or somewhere where noise wouldn’t be all that noticeable. But NOT working via USB charging and only using heavy batteries, that makes it two-stars for me in terms of functionality, which is critical. I have no idea how long it runs on the batteries, which, luckily, we had around so we could test.
